Does Annabelle age well?

My husband and I have been trying to agree on a girl name since we found out we were pregnant with Our son [name]Jack[/name] who is 2. We finally agreed on [name]Annabelle[/name] for a potential daughter.

My only question is: does [name]Annabelle[/name] age well? Can you see [name]Annabelle[/name] on a grown woman or is it more of a little girls name?

Thanks!

My cousin [name]Anabelle[/name] is 20 - no problems there.

I know a 60-ish yo who is [name]Anne[/name], but goes by [name]Annabel[/name], and yeah, I do find it a bit odd (It’s almost like a joke, its hard to explain).

But you also can’t picture [name]Madison[/name] on a 60yo, and nursing homes will be full of them in years to come!

I think [name]Annabelle[/name] ages very well. It is kind of a classic name so that means people of all ages have that name so everyone is used to it.

This! [name]Imagine[/name] [name]Kylie[/name] as an 80 yo grandmother! No offense to any Kylies. I just can’t picture it on an older woman.

I think [name]Annabelle[/name] will be just fine!

[name]Annabelle[/name] ages VERY well, in my opinion.

[name]Anna[/name] ages well, so [name]Annabel[/name] must too. I know a plastic surgeon with this name and she is doing just fine.

Yes, it does and is a beautiful name. I think that the “problem” a name like [name]Annabelle[/name] has these days is that its seen as a “little kid” name with the the revival and major popularity jump of [name]Isabelle[/name] causing people to think “little kid” where as back 20-30 years ago it screamed “old lady” to many people. Does that make sense?

My aunt has a neighbor named [name]Annabelle[/name] and her husband is named [name]Oliver[/name] aka “[name]Ollie[/name]”. They are both in their 80’s and its funny that either of those names are easily spotted in a preschool line up now. All this to say, it ages well, has lots of nn potential and imho is an aweseome names.

Not in my opinion. It’s very much a baby doll kind of name to me.
But in reality, it’d probably age just fine.

This makes perfect sense to me! I guess a generation ago it would have seemed bizarre to use any of the -belle names. And she can always go by [name]Anna[/name] when she gets older if she’d like.
