I am the same way! Or similar, at least.
To me, my girls’ list is very cohesive. Girly, maybe with a bit of a European flair, but names that are very in-style right now (or have very in-style variations!). My short list is [name]Isabelle[/name], [name]Arianne[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Violet[/name], [name]Liliana[/name], and [name]Rachel[/name]. [name]Daphne[/name], [name]Eleni[/name], [name]Hannah[/name], [name]Lenora[/name], [name]Astrid[/name], [name]Willa[/name], [name]Sophie[/name], [name]Bryony[/name], [name]Caroline[/name], [name]Primrose[/name], [name]Aurelia[/name], etc., are other considerations right now, but I don’t think they really fit with the rest of my list quite so much. Still, very girly, with a bit of a European flair. Most are fairly in-style right now.
For my boys’ list, it is all over the place. Some are cowboyish type names ([name]Zane[/name], [name]Boone[/name], [name]Grayson[/name]), some Biblical ([name]Daniel[/name], [name]Caleb[/name], [name]Samuel[/name], [name]Noah[/name], [name]Silas[/name], [name]Simon[/name]), some are timeless classics ([name]Henry[/name], [name]Jack[/name]), and then the rest of them are mostly surnamey choices ([name]Bennett[/name], [name]Beckett[/name], [name]Everett[/name], [name]Spencer[/name], [name]Schuyler[/name], [name]Lincoln[/name], [name]Sawyer[/name], etc.). Then there is [name]Linus[/name] and [name]Brody[/name], which I’m not sure how to categorize. I think they all could stylistically fit with my girls’ picks, but I feel like I should really choose one style and run with it, but I can’t seem to let any of them go, haha.
So I guess it’s not the same thing exactly, but within my boys’ list, I would say I have a very varied taste, lol.
