I’m wondering what the teasing potential for this name is, especially with the [name]Simon[/name] Says game in [name]America[/name]. Does anyone know if that causes problems with a little [name]Simon[/name]?
Also, what are your general thoughts on the name–classic? boring?
We recently found out we are having a girl, but we were sure our name was [name]Simon[/name] if it was a boy, so I do love the name!
I think there’s just the standard teasing potential as there is for most names – I thought more about Simple [name]Simon[/name] than [name]Simon[/name] Says, frankly, but neither was enough to dissuade me from using the name. I think it’s similar in feel to the more popular [name]Samuel[/name], which might be why I like it.
I don’t know very many, if any, little American Simons, but I think it’s a great name.
I know a couple little Simons and they don’t seem to have any trouble with the name.
I only know two Simons, both are imports from the UK though .
I like it, my husband is not a fan.
I’m a teacher and I have a [name]Simon[/name] in school. There certainly haven’t been any issues for him. I [name]LOVE[/name] the name!
None of the Simons I know have had problems beyond what I would think would be normal teasing with any name.
I love the name and would definitely consider it for a future child. I actually have never met a little [name]Simon[/name]. My main concern would not be [name]Simon[/name] says. My problem is that I have met a LOT of dogs named [name]Simon[/name]. I would still consider it though.
