We are expecting a baby bot in [name_u]January[/name_u]. We love the name [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]… but I am not sure if it fits well with our last name: Benmelah
What do you think? Does [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] Benmelah sound ok? It sounds cute, ben ben for short… or just benny, but will this be a problem when he is older is a concern as well.
Let me know your thoughts, thank you all:)
I actually quite like it, and I think it’s because the -jamin and -melah endings offer a little separation from the repeating Bens.
For what it’s worth, our last name is just [name_m]Benn[/name_m], so [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and all “[name_m]Ben[/name_m]” names are definitely out of the question for us - for you, though, I think it could work!
I think you could get away with it
Personally I wouldn’t. It does sound too much alike
I think if he was always called [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] then it would be ok just, but not if you’ll use [name_m]Ben[/name_m]. It’s too close for me personally.
I probably wouldn’t, but names like that are always very memorable!
No, I don’t feel that it works because it is likely to be shortened by his friends and acquaintances by the time he reaches his teens and he would be [name_m]Ben[/name_m] Ben______ .
