I quite like the sound together! I think some repeating sounds are good for flow provided they don’t match up too closely, and I don’t find this repetitive/overky matchy at all.
I think because I put the emphasis on different parts of the names ([name_m]CAS[/name_m]-per wes-TER-lund) I don’t hear the repetitive sounds right off the bat… and the extra syllable at the end of your last name probably helps a lot as well. I think I would nix the idea if your name was just [name_f]Wester[/name_f]. But, luckily, its not so I say it sounds great!
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] Westerlund sounds and looks fine! I see no problems with it, on the contrary, it’s a very distinctive and handsome name choice and now I’m rooting for this one to be your baby’s name!
Thanks everyone! I am happy to hear such a positive response. We’ve got a few months left still, and may not choose until baby is here, but [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is staying at the top of my list!
[name_m]Just[/name_m] popping in to announce that our [name_m]Casper[/name_m] was born 7/1! Thanks for the helpful feedback, it made it easy for us to go ahead and choose our top choice!
I actually think the name is really beautiful, sort of romantic, together with your last name
Repetitive sounds and letters are a tricky thing, they can either sound silly OR they can make a great, memorable name - like many celebrities or fictional characters. [name_m]Casper[/name_m] Westerlund sounds to me like out of a book.
Congratulations! [name_m]Casper[/name_m] is a gorgeous choice — please do head over to the “Birth Announcements” subforum and post your announcement there if you’d like him included in this month’s Berrybaby round-up!
