Does Eleanor work?

My and Hub’s favorite name right now is [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], nicknamed [name_f]Nell[/name_f]. However, our last name is [name_m]Russell[/name_m].

Does [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_m]Russell[/name_m] sound too singsongy? The way we say it, [name_f]Nell[/name_f] rhymes with bell, and [name_m]Russell[/name_m] rhymes with hustle, but I catch myself in my head thinking [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_m]Russ[/name_m]-elle, which I’m not partial to.

Is that just me over-scrutinizing? Would love some additional thoughts! Thanks.

Yeah, I think you’re overthinking it…
I pronounce [name_m]Russell[/name_m] like rustle, and [name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_m]Russell[/name_m] sounds fine to me!

I think it sounds fine! And she most likely wouldn’t be going by both names too often, which would be [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_m]Russell[/name_m] anyway! Super cute nickname! I love [name_f]Nell[/name_f].

I think it’s fine.

I think it works well

I think it works great!

You’re overscrutinizing!!! I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] [name_m]Russel[/name_m] sound - so beautiful. It’s perfect. Good luck!

[name_f]Nell[/name_f] [name_m]Russell[/name_m] sounds great - two great names.

But [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] ending with an r and [name_m]Russell[/name_m] starting with an r - that does not seem so good.
