Does first born equal "best name"?

Hello ladies

I was having a chat with a good friend last night and as she is pregnant with her second (another girl), we got talking about names. She seems to think that she has “used up” the “best name” for her first daughter and so any other girls she has will automatically be second, third etc best.
As a mum of 6, I love all my daughters’ names equally and in fact, though [name]Madeleine[/name] (my first) was my favourite name at the time she was born 6 years ago, my tastes have evolved and so I definitely do not consider [name]Maddie[/name] to have my “best name” and the other 5 to have names less good or worse than her. My triplets who were born last, certainly don’t have my 4th 5th and 6th best names. I like them all for different reasons but most importantly, like them all equally.
What do you ladies think?

I agree with you. The names I liked the most when I had my first baby isn’t the names I like the most right now. My taste have changed during the time. My first baby was born in 2002 and I had baby #3 in 2006, and I almost like his name more than his brother. So no, the first born doesn’t always have the best name.
