Does Indietta sound too made-up

I love the name [name_f]India[/name_f], but not sure I’d want to use that name specifically (I can’t decide!)

  • [name_f]Indianna[/name_f] and [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] are both cute, but I have reservations about each of them.

Another name I like is [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] - so my thought is [name_f]India[/name_f] + [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] = Indietta.

But - does this sound made-up? I don’t necessarily like made up names, but would this be doable, or should I just give up the [name_f]Indie[/name_f]- names, and move on to another name?

Thanks in advance!

I’m sorry, it does sound made up to me. I prefer [name_f]Indianna[/name_f] or [name_u]Indigo[/name_u] or even just [name_f]Indie[/name_f].

It does sound made up, but I did wonder for a minute if it actually wasn’t. I do prefer [name_f]Indianna[/name_f] though

Yes it does.

While it does look like a created name, I definitely see the appeal, and I quite like it. It’s not modern-trendy looking, and sounds nice, so big whoop if it’s not a legitimate name. If you like it, go for it!

I think it sounds made up. I [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Indigo[/name_u]. That is one of my top boy names, but DH has vetoed. :frowning:

It does sound very made up to me. What about [name_f]Indira[/name_f]?

Indietta is really pretty, it doesn’t sound made up at all. It sounds like a feminine diminutive of [name_f]India[/name_f], like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] with [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f].

Indietta is a real name. I was named for my great great grandma, [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] Indietta [name_m]Young[/name_m] who was an American homesteading pioneer in the 1800s
