[name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u]…
Does this name remind you of the actor [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Law[/name_m] at all?
I think the combo is really handsome but wasn’t sure.
And does Lawrie sound nice as a nickname? Is Laurence better? I don’t like how feminine Laurence looks.
I don’t think so! I know who [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Law[/name_m] is (and he has a great name), but [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is a distinct and handsome combination. I also like [name_m]Lawrie[/name_m].
I love [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Law[/name_m], and never would’ve thought of him until you said it! [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] sounds different enough, I think.
[name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is very handsome! I prefer [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] to [name_u]Laurence[/name_u], but only because I love the nn [name_u]Wren[/name_u]! [name_m]Lawrie[/name_m] is cute too!
(also, dont think Laurence is feminine at all! not that I think it’d be a bad thing if it was, but it seems very masculine to me.)
Doesn’t make me think of him whatsoever. I like [name_u]Laurie[/name_u] so much, but I really dislike the [name_m]Lawrie[/name_m] spelling. [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] doesn’t look feminine to me in the slightest, but if it does to you and that bothers you, then of course stick to [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u].
Thanks can I ask why you don’t like the [name_m]Lawrie[/name_m] spelling.
My reasons for liking [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] over [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] is because on my partner’s side he has Scottish family and heritage. [name_m]Lawrie[/name_m] is actually Scottish for ‘crafty’
I have french on my side and it bothers me that [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] is considered feminine in [name_f]France[/name_f].
There is also [name_m]Lawry[/name_m] spelling which is also Scottish. I also like the idea of [name_u]Wren[/name_u] in [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u].
I would have said I prefer [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] more because that’s the way I’ve seen it most. (I’ve never met a female [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] so it’s all male to me)
But when you mention the meaning of [name_m]Lawrie[/name_m] in Scottish and the fact that [name_u]Wren[/name_u] could be a nn too it makes me love [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u].
I don’t know who [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Law[/name_m] is, so no I don’t think of him. [name_m]Lawrie[/name_m] is adorable! I like both the [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] and [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] spelling, and I don’t think either sounds too feminine.
I really like [name_m]Lawerence[/name_m] and [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] . I did not think of [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Law[/name_m] at all - but [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Law[/name_m]’s actual name is [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] Hayworth [name_m]Law[/name_m]
I think that most people would immediately assume spelling was [name_m]Lawerence[/name_m]! I really love this name . It’s so strong and handsome
It does remind me of [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Law[/name_m] a bit but not overly so. [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] is very charming and i like [name_m]Lawrie[/name_m]!
I didn’t think of him until you mentioned it, so I think you’re fine. It helps that the ‘[name_m]Law[/name_m]’ part of [name_u]Lawrence[/name_u] isn’t pronounced like ‘law’, but like ‘laur’.
It’s handsome! I didn’t think of [name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_m]Law[/name_m] until you pointed it out at all. I do personally prefer [name_u]Laurence[/name_u], but I never liked that [name_m]Law[/name_m]- bit at the beginning. I prefer [name_u]Laurie[/name_u] to [name_m]Lawrie[/name_m], but I do think the nn is cute.
Plus, [name_u]Laurence[/name_u] reminds me more of [name_m]Laurent[/name_m] than [name_u]Laurence[/name_u]’s feminine usage in [name_u]French[/name_u], so it’s all-boy to me.
