Yes it rhymes but it’s not the worst combination in the world.

Unfortunately, both syllables rhyme (Lach and Cock as well as Lan and [name]Ran[/name]) so I would advise against choosing it.

Yeah, I thought it was probably bad. I’ve just had such a hard time finding boy names that I’m not just neutral about, so I thought I’d see what the general consensus was. Thanks for the replies! And renrose, thanks for giving me some hope :wink:

I don’t want to be mean either, but I had a little chuckle when I read the names together. I think you could do better. I reckon there are heaps of names that would go with your last name, so definitely don’t give up hope. I think rhymey names are best avoided, personally, only because they can produce a bit of a giggle for some reason.

I completely agree. I just wanted to make sure the rhymey-ness wasn’t just in my head. [name]Ah[/name] well, [name]Lachlan[/name] will just remain a guilty pleasure :slight_smile: Clearly I have my answer for this question, so I think I’ll go ahead and close the thread so it doesn’t keep getting bumped to the top :slight_smile: Thanks everyone!
