Does Liam sound like a country/cowboy name?

Does [name_m]Liam[/name_m] sound like a country/cowboy name?

[name_m]Liam[/name_m] doesn’t really give me those cowboy/Southwest vibes. [name_m]Liam[/name_m] to me seems too tied to Irish ancestry and imagery to be thought of in that way.

Names that [name_f]IMO[/name_f] fit that vibe:

[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_m]Josiah[/name_m]
[name_u]Dale[/name_u]
[name_m]Russell[/name_m]
[name_u]Beau[/name_u]
[name_m]Bourne[/name_m]
[name_u]Roy[/name_u]
[name_m]Wayne[/name_m]
[name_m]Ranger[/name_m]
[name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]
[name_m]Boone[/name_m]
[name_m]Colton[/name_m]
[name_m]Wilder[/name_m]
[name_u]Tristan[/name_u]
[name_m]Jackson[/name_m]

[name_m]Liam[/name_m] is also Irish to me, also it’s so popular that I don’t picture a particular kind of kid

No, not at all.

Liam is a very classically Irish name. So I would say no, it has no links to American country/cowboy culture.

Very Irish, maybe [name_m]Levi[/name_m]?

I think [name_m]Liam[/name_m] goes nicely with other ‘cowboy’ sounding names, so while it doesn’t strike me as being a cowboy name on its own, I feel that it does in a group.

[name_u]Reid[/name_u], [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_m]Hayes[/name_m] give me a cowboy vibe, for example . However, I’m not American, so I might be a bit off.

No, not at all. It’s going from classic, traditional and Irish to popular, trendy, and preppy, very similar to [name_u]Conner[/name_u] in that way.

I think [name_m]Liam[/name_m] would fit in beautifully with other “cowboy names” like [name_m]Levi[/name_m], [name_u]Remy[/name_u], [name_u]Jesse[/name_u], [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], [name_m]Nash[/name_m], etc. My first association is with [name_f]Ireland[/name_f], however, and second is a fresh and spunky nickname for [name_m]William[/name_m].

I don’t think [name_m]Liam[/name_m] sounds specifically like a cowboy name on its own, but it would definitely fit in with siblings [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], [name_m]Weston[/name_m], [name_u]Jesse[/name_u], [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], etc.
