Not sure if this is “would you use a popular name as a middle name?” Or “would you use a common middle name?” Because to me they’re slightly different questions…
I try to make all of the middles meaningful which is most important to me. But middle name popularity doesn’t really bother me that much. I would tend to prefer the middle name [name_u]Oberon[/name_u] opposed to [name_m]John[/name_m], but if I really wanted [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] I would go with that.

I don’t think it really matters. Most of my combinations have either an unusual first/common middle or a common first/unusual middle, but I don’t stick to it as a rule.

Oops, I meant it doesn’t matter to me. Middle names are kinda free to me. I tend to put my more “extreme” names in that spot ([name_f]Juno[/name_f] [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f], [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] [name_f]Emerald[/name_f]).

It doesn’t matter to me it only matters if they flow ok or it would be cool if it honoured someone! :sunglasses:

No. Common middle names work with everything, and I really like that!
