Does Nolan Fit?

We’ve added the name [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] to our list. It’s a subtle honor name and it feels on trend but timeless. But now I’m not so sure it would fit with our other kids’ names:
[name_u]Gabriel[/name_u] (Gabe), [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] (Rue), [name_u]Charles[/name_u] (Charlie), and [name_m]Silas[/name_m] (Si). We call them by their full names and their nicknames. The fact that [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] has no obvious nicknames isn’t a deal breaker as I’m sure we’d figure out something lol.

So what do you think? Does [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] sound really different from our other names? [name_u]Or[/name_u] do they go together as siblings?

I think it definitely works! I’d classify all your kids’ names as familiar and well-established which [name_u]Nolan[/name_u] certainly is nowadays in the US. It wouldn’t stand out to me at all. For nicknames, I’d probably default to [name_m]Nole[/name_m] or [name_u]Ollie[/name_u]! But [name_m]Nolly[/name_m] and [name_u]Lanny[/name_u] could be cute too.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

I love [name_u]Nolan[/name_u]! It’s strong yet feels gentle & kind, handsome, slightly vintage but feels fresh, easy to say & spell, kind of outdoorsy, well known but not horribly over done…I think it’s beautiful with your crew! Feels very cohesive to me. And I think that the nn [name_m]Nollie[/name_m] is adorable.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
