Does 'Remy' sound like a boy or girl to you?

Does ‘[name_u]Remy[/name_u]’ sound like a boy or girl to you? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like it?

This name feels like it would fit a boy or a girl. I think it’s a nice name.

Either, I guess. I know a crap ton of both male and female Remys. Usually, they use it as a nickname for [name_u]Remington[/name_u]. I really dislike [name_u]Remington[/name_u], but [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is alright!

Feels more boy to me.

I love it for both genders.

Like for a boy, NMS for a girl.

[name_u]Remy[/name_u] sounds like a boy to me! [name_u]Romy[/name_u] sounds like a girl. IDK why exactly, but I think it has something to do with the mouse in Ratatouille being named [name_u]Remy[/name_u], along with the character [name_u]Remy[/name_u] [name_m]Danton[/name_m] in House of Cards.

I consider [name_u]Remy[/name_u] all boy. Can’t understand why anyone would want to use it for a girl.

To me, [name_u]Remy[/name_u] is unisex. Male, since it’s a male name in [name_f]France[/name_f]. But also a girl’s since it’s used on girls as well. A boy and girl could wear [name_u]Remy[/name_u] very well

Sounds all boy to me, and I love it on a boy. My only (character) association with it is male, but even before that it seemed more boy than girl. But I could imagine maybe liking it as a cool, feisty, heroine name if I hear it on a character or person I like.

I’ve known two people named [name_u]Remy[/name_u] in my life. Both were short for [name_u]Remington[/name_u] and both were girls. But the name works well for both.

It sounds quite feminine to me, but I think it could work on boys too, especially as a nickname (eg for [name_m]Remus[/name_m]).

Boy, but likely because I know two of them and they’re male. I like it, and think it would work for a girl, I’ve just never met one.

I think of it as a boy name, but could work for a girl too.

Girl for me, I guess you could use [name_u]Remi[/name_u] to make it appear more feminine

Boy, just because the only person I know with the name is male. [name_u]Remi[/name_u] is a good idea, as a previous poster suggested, if you want it to appear more feminine

I love [name_u]Remi[/name_u] for a girl. It is on my favourites list. [name_u]Remy[/name_u] also works for a girl in my opinion. It feels very unisex for me. I can picture it on a boy and girl.

I think of boy first, because it is in fact a traditionally masculine name in [name_f]France[/name_f] where I live, but I think it’s one that could cross into unisex territory quite successfully.

Personally, I’d only use it for a boy, but that’s just a question of personal style. I think a little girl [name_u]Remy[/name_u] would fit in just fine with the other kids on the playground.

Similarly, I knew a girl named Yemi (pronounced yay-mee) once and I love that for a girl.

[name_u]Remi[/name_u] or [name_u]Remy[/name_u] reads as more unisex to me, whereas Rémy / Rémi would be all boy imo.

[name_u]Remy[/name_u], as a nickname for [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m]. All boy.
