Does Sadie sound trashy?

I love the name [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] however I had a dog named [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] when I was little and now I can’t see a person being named [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], it also sounds like a trailer trash name, but I still [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] the name and think it’s adorable! What do you think? I’m pregnant with Boy/Girl twins and going over names. Siblings are: [name_u]Skyler[/name_u], [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_m]Cole[/name_m], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_f]Willow[/name_f] ([name_u]Rowan[/name_u] & [name_f]Willow[/name_f] are also twins!) I don’t think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] goes with them. My middle name and my grandmothers name is [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] and I think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] is so cute!

No, it doesn’t. It sounds like a very sweet name to me.

Nooooo, not at all! Like @stellarevolution said, it sounds very sweet! I hear ya on the “had a pet named [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], now I can’t see it on a person” thing, though. When I was really young, we had a kitten named [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]…so that is what I first think of when I hear the name, but I wouldn’t say it is a bad association.

I think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] actually does go well with your other kids’ names. The others are trendy and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] feels more old-fashioned, but there’s a difference between ([name_u]Skyler[/name_u], [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_m]Cole[/name_m], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_f]Willow[/name_f], and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]) and ([name_u]Skyler[/name_u], [name_u]Eden[/name_u], [name_m]Cole[/name_m], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], Williow, and [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]). Oh, and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] is rather cute

Of course not!

I see [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] in two different lights, the trailer-park light being one of them. (This is why I can’t ever fall in love with [name_f]Stella[/name_f]!)

But [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is very cute and reminds me more of the name [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] than a trailer-park old lady.

It’s on my favourites right now, I’ve always loved it. I used to think it sounded trashy but now as I hear it more often I think it’s lovely. However now that I’ve heard you and one PP have had pets named [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], I’ve kind of classified it as a pet name. My best friend’s dog is also named [name_f]Sadie[/name_f].

I personally find the ‘trailer trash name’ comment to be a bit offensive, but I suppose that comes from years of seeing comments that dismiss my own name as “trailer trash”. I think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]'s a great name.

I love [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], I don’t think it’s trashy at all! It’s sweet and slightly vintage, not too frilly and a bit spunky.

Over the years, [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] has grown on me SO much, and I think it’s super cute! Currently we’re in a trend of bringing back old fashioned names. I know someone who has recently named their little girl [name_f]Nora[/name_f], and she’s the cutest! [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] (especially [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f]) is sure to fit right in with the rest of your kids and be quite a happy child:)

I think [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] is a great name. However, if you have concerns about it, why not use [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] or [name_f]Isadora[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]? It’s the best of both worlds.
