[name_f]My[/name_f] husband and I are having a baby in [name_f]September[/name_f] and are pretty set on the name [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] for a girl and [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] for a boy. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think these names fit with my name (Katelyn) and my husband’s name (Luke)?
I wouldn’t worry at all about a baby’s name fitting with the parents’ names since they come from different generations with different name trends- it’s not like with sibling names! But yes, I do think [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] (so cute!) or [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] work well with [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f] and [name_m]Luke[/name_m] (especially [name_m]Luke[/name_m] and Stuart)
[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] & [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] are both such lovely names, they sound great with [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f] & [name_m]Luke[/name_m]!
I think they work! They don’t sound too similar to either of your names so it wouldn’t get confusing and you’ll all have your own initial
[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] is sweet and [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] is one I haven’t heard it ages!
Congratulations on your little one arriving in [name_f]September[/name_f]! [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] are such lovely choices. They both have a timeless charm and sound great alongside your names. As @Greyblue[name_f][/name_f] said I love that each name has its own unique initial and distinct sound, so they all stand out while still feeling like a cohesive set. Wishing you all the best on this exciting journey!
[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] are both so adorable!! I have a little [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f]
[name_f][/name_f]Those names definitely work with your family!
Like others have said, children’s names don’t have to (and very often don’t) go with their parents’ names! It’s not something I’d worry about if I were you. I guess my only comment is that in the case of Luke and Stuart I’d assume Stuart was the father and Luke the son, since Luke is much more often used for babies than Stuart, which is a name mainly seen on older men, but I can’t imagine many scenarios where that would matter.
Thank you! We’re so excited to meet our little one
[name_m]Just[/name_m] wanted to pop in to say [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] is just the sweetest!!! [name_f]Love[/name_f] seeing someone consider it
Thank you!!
Congrats!
[name_f][/name_f]Definitely can envision parents named [name_m]Luke[/name_m] & [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f] having a kiddos named [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] + [name_m]Stuart[/name_m].
[name_f][/name_f]Wishing you all the best
[name_f]Bonnie[/name_f] and [name_m]Stuart[/name_m] are wonderful names! They sound great together.
[name_f][/name_f]I believe your family will have an harmonious and traditional style. I advice you to select names that you truly love, even if they aren’t perfect matches for your names. It’s completely normal for different generations to have distinct naming styles.
