Hi berries,
What is your imagery for Laura?
Have you met any of Laura in life? If yes, how old are them usually?

[name_f]Laura[/name_f] is a beautiful classic name! I really like it.
I’ve met a few Lauras with completely different ages! From newborn babies to 90+ years old women!
I have a little girl in my family named [name_f]Laura[/name_f] and it suits her well.
I know a [name_f]Laura[/name_f]. Without going into too much detail for privacy reasons, she’s under 40.
It wouldn’t be strange on a baby.
[name_f]Laura[/name_f] feels a little dated at the moment, but not too much. I’ve met several, mostly in their 20s and 30s, but also a few who’ve been older and and one younger than that.
i generally prefer alora/elora to laura but it doesn’t felt to dates! i know two laura’s one is five the other is forty!
It really is a timeless classic, and deserves more love.
I know Lauras in their sixties and in their thirties. I would love to meet a little girl [name_f]Laura[/name_f].
I know many of them! They are in their 30s-50s. I find it incredibly dated and do not enjoy the name.
[name_f]Laura[/name_f] is lovely. It’s one of my girls’ middle names (it’s a family name for me).
I know 3 Lauras - one is about 45, one is about 20, and one is about 14.
It feels soft and sweet to me, and a bit under the radar - not showy in any way, but very modest.
[name_f]Laura[/name_f] is so classic
I really love [name_f]Laura[/name_f] she’s elegant, enduring, strong and nostalgic. [name_f]Laura[/name_f] feels warm with a happy 1950s selling lemonade on a vintage stand. She’s a name that stands quietly in a sweet cottage in the prairie surrounded by sunflowers. I think [name_f]Laura[/name_f] is beautiful. She’s also refreshing! I would love to come across a baby [name_f]Laura[/name_f].
Regarding Laura’s I personally know my mother is [name_f]Laura[/name_f] she’s in her fifties and I also went to school with three Laura’s so they’d all be 30 now. I do not know any young Laura’s but I think that’s because she doesn’t fit the names that are fashionable within my area. I think [name_f]Laura[/name_f] is classic like [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
When I hear [name_f]Laura[/name_f], I think of [name_f]Laura[/name_f] Ingalls [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], from [name_m]Little[/name_m] House on the [name_f]Prairie[/name_f]. So no, [name_f]Laura[/name_f] is classic and timeless to me - and lovely!
[name_f]Laura[/name_f] feels like a currently underused classic, a little vintage but not dated. I really like it and its on my long list. The only one I’ve ever met was one my friend’s moms who is peobably in her 60’s now.
Honestly, a little bit, but I think it’s a gorgeous name that has a long history of use and I would totally be happy to see it on a baby. (For instance, to compare it to a variant name, I think [name_f]Lauren[/name_f] is more dated to one particular peak era.) I agree with @sammaegre assessing it as a “currently underused classic”. Of the top of my head, I can think of two women named [name_f]Laura[/name_f] I know, one of whom is in her fifties and the other one in her twenties.
[name_f]Laura[/name_f] feels a little dated to me, but I love the name regardless and wouldn’t find it out of place on a person of any age. I might describe it as a “modern classic,” like [name_f]Emily[/name_f] or [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. (I’m from the US.)
I think it feels fresher with the lao-ra pronunciation, and more dated as lor-ah.
No I’d love to meet a baby [name_f]Laura[/name_f]. It feels fresh again but also has a vintage “Laura Ingalls Wilder” feel about it
With a few exceptions such as [name_m]Adolf[/name_m], I don’t think any name is truly dated. After all, everyone was once a child, so every name was once a child’s name. While I know [name_f]Laura[/name_f] was at its peak of popularity in the 1980’s, the name goes back at least to the 18th century. It’s a timeless classic.
[name_f]Laura[/name_f] is a classic name. I don’t think it is dated at all.
