Yes, most of the time it does. For example, I adore the name, [name]Jane[/name]. But I’m not crazy about [name]Jayne[/name]. People will describe them as being the same name but they don’t feel at all the same to me. I much prefer [name]Catherine[/name] to [name]Katherine[/name]. I like [name]Anne[/name] better than [name]Ann[/name]. The extra “e” make it feel more finished to me.
I don’t have a huge preference between [name]Conor[/name] and [name]Connor[/name] though. I think they are both equal in my eyes. So it doesn’t always make a difference.
