Does the name [name]Freya[/name] [name]Richard[/name] clash? Like do the R sounds through it off?

Thoughts on the nickname [name]Cissy[/name] (pronounced like Kissy) for [name]Calista[/name]? Is it too cutesy?

Thoughts on the nickname [name]Cissy[/name] (pronounced like Kissy) for [name]Calista[/name]? Is it too cutesy?
I think that the repeated R sounds in [name]Freya[/name] [name]Richard[/name] make it slightly difficult to say, and it becomes a bit of a tongue twister when said quickly! [name]Just[/name] out of interest, is the name [name]Richard[/name] a family name? Or is there another special reason behind it? My middle name is very masculine and it’s a family name, so I always wonder about others’ - I don’t mean to pry!
I think that a girl nicknamed ‘Kissy’, even if it were spelt differently, would be subject to possible unwelcome attention etc. at school - jokes along the lines of, “Give us a kiss-y, [name]Cissy[/name]!” would most probably be rife. But if it were just a family nickname for when she is little, [name]Cissy[/name] certainly sounds sweet. I love [name]Calla[/name] myself, but I always have, so I’m a bit biased!
Good luck.
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Richard[/name] is fine.
[name]Cissy[/name]/Kissy/[name]Sissy[/name] are all unfortunate ([name]Sissy[/name] a bit less so), and don’t make much sense for [name]Calista[/name].
Haha, you’re not prying don’t worry! [name]Richard[/name] would actually be the last name, not the middle (it’s not the actual last name but close enough sound-wise).
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Richards[/name] is lovely.
I would thought [name]Cissy[/name] is nn for [name]Cecily[/name] or [name]Celeste[/name] and Kissy nn for [name]Kristen[/name] or [name]Christine[/name].
What about Lissy or Lista for a nickname for [name]Calista[/name]? It seems more natural and a tad less teasable/over the top feminine.
I think [name]Freya[/name] [name]Richard[/name] is fine. Probably every name becomes a tongue-twister when you say it fast, so that’s a silly argument against it.
I don’t care for the nn [name]Cissy[/name], but I suppose it works. I would choose [name]Callie[/name] for [name]Calista[/name], if anything.
[name]Freya[/name] [name]Richard[/name] isn’t a tongue twister to me. What about [name]Freya[/name] Orchard?
Lissy does seem more intuitive than [name]Cissy[/name]. [name]Cissy[/name] is cute for a little girl, but not really a teenager. The spelling [name]Cissy[/name] instead of Kissy would be confusing when written at an older age. I understand why you’d spell in [name]Cissy[/name], but it might lead to problems. I think [name]Cissy[/name] is adorable though.
