First of all, I apologise for using this and not the Girls Name forum but I can’t get into that subforum. I can click from the main forum menu into the most recent thread, whichever it might be, but not get either directly onto that board or back from the most recent thread onto it.
[name]Nor[/name] can I get onto the boys board. [name]Just[/name] this board. I don’t get it either but its gone on two days.
Why? [name]Just[/name] me? Or are other people having problems?
Secondly, my actual question:
Does [name]Raina[/name] [name]Clare[/name] or [name]Raina[/name] [name]Claire[/name] sound silly? [name]Rainy[/name]/clear? Raincloud? Or is it okay?
I’m having the same problem!! I thought it was just me. I can’t get into the Momberries board either.
[name]Raina[/name] [name]Claire[/name]/[name]Clare[/name] sounds great. I think you’re over-thinking it. If point out to her one day that her name made you think of the weather, she’ll probably just giggle and enjoy the comparison.
I can get into Momberries but not the main name boards for boys/girls! Argh. I am secretly glad its not just me though, I wondered if I had done something to my settings but its like that even when I’m logged out.
I am maybe overthinking. My husband loves [name]Clare[/name]/[name]Claire[/name] so I know if I suggest it, it will get “locked in” (“YOU suggested it!” etc.) - so I have to completely iron out how I feel about it beforehand. I love it as its own thing I just wasn’t sure about them together.
I definitely wouldn’t have made the jump to [name]Rainy[/name]/clear; in fact, I think [name]Raina[/name] [name]Claire[/name] is really pretty! The more unconventional [name]Raina[/name] is balanced out by the classic [name]Claire[/name]. Good choice!
I like [name]Chloe[/name] but our last name ends in -y and it goes all singsong. [name]Clare[/name] has a nice one-syllable clear sound and no -ee sounding ending. The last name took many good -ee ending names out of circulation.
I’ve had that problem a bit, but it seems to have stopped.
[name]Raina[/name] [name]Claire[/name] is cool and i love it and I didn’t get the [name]Rainy[/name] Clear or [name]Rainy[/name] [name]Cloud[/name] thing before you mentioned it
I love the combo. I loved [name]Raina[/name] many years ago, and it’s fallen off my list, but I still love the name. [name]Clare[/name] is my name, so I’m a little biased, but I love that too!
I think that name combination is very pretty and somewhat subtle. It’s not as if you’re naming your child [name]Storm[/name] St. [name]Cloud[/name], or anything. I really like it. Go for it!
[name]Raina[/name] [name]Claire[/name] is pretty! I know a couple who’s last name is Rainwater, and [name]Claire[/name] was pre-determined to be their daughter’s middle name. In light of the middle and last name, someone suggested the name [name]Crystal[/name]. The baby would have been [name]Crystal[/name] [name]Claire[/name] Rainwater. The couple turned down the suggestion, but I thought it was a clever idea.
I also like [name]Raina[/name] [name]Claire[/name]. With [name]Claire[/name] [name]Raina[/name], the ending of [name]Claire[/name] runs into the beginning of [name]Raina[/name], making it sound like one word – Clairaina.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Raina[/name] [name]Claire[/name] and I don’t think “rain cloud” is a threat. I was also having problems getting into the girls names forum on Internet [name]Explorer[/name], but not with Google Chrome.
