[name]Catherine[/name] with the NN [name]Cassie[/name]? I saw it suggested here on NB and I am really in love with the idea. [name]Do[/name] you think people who are not namenerds would get it or just think it is weird? The only other option I like for the NN [name]Cassie[/name] is [name]Cassia[/name] (prn: [name]Cass[/name]-ee-uh)
I don’t really see [name]Cassie[/name] as a nickname for [name]Catherine[/name]. I mean, I suppose if you introduced her as [name]Cassie[/name] regularly and didn’t mind that most people would assume her full name was something else, then I guess you could go for it. It’s not intuitive though. [name]Cassia[/name] makes far more sense, and it’s lovely and unusual.
I think [name]Elizabeth[/name] & [name]Catherine[/name] are such versatile classics that I would totally be fine with any nn you choose. [name]Cassie[/name] isn’t the most intuitive choice but it works for me.
[name]Cassia[/name] is nice as well. Looking at it, it could be mistaken for [name]Cash[/name]-uh, [name]Cash[/name]-ee-uh, ect.
I’m a name nerd, and I don’t even get it. [name]Cassia[/name] makes much more sense. It’s also much more original than the ever popular [name]Catherine[/name].
