We have three boys all with names starting with the letter L: [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_u]Logan[/name_u]. We were not planning on having another but surprise! We are and it’s a girl! Funny how life works.
We felt we had to stick with the L theme once we found out our third was a boy. But now that this is a girl we figure we are more open to options. You’d think after all these boys that we’d have a girl name picked out but we didn’t. Anyway, we considered many L names with the top contender being [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. But we felt it was very close to [name_m]Lucas[/name_m].
Finally I think we have decided on [name_f]Molly[/name_f]. It fits our criteria. It’s too syllables, it’s not a lot of letters. It is a name that works for a child as well as an adult. Bonus: And it goes great with our last name. We figure it’s going to be said most with our youngest name ([name_u]Logan[/name_u]) cause they will only be 20 months apart.
So what do you think? I have included their middle names (all of which are to honor a family member).
I think it is cute that the girl name is different. And really it won’t matter when they are adults anyway or even in high school and aren’t so closely associated with their siblings. If it is the name you love then definitely use it!
I love [name_f]Molly[/name_f]! And [name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] works really well!
I also love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f]. I don’t think it’s too close to [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] because [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] is a hard C while [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] is soft. If you love [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], it could work. Also, [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] is a fair bit older than she will be.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_f]Molly[/name_f] with the boys’ names. I think it’s a great idea to break away from the “L” trend with your baby girl, and I think by the time you get to [name_u]Logan[/name_u], having the next not alliterative will be a nice change of sound.
[name_f]Molly[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] is sweet! I’m assuming Moran is the surname? I really like [name_m]Lucas[/name_m], [name_m]Liam[/name_m], [name_u]Logan[/name_u], and [name_f]Molly[/name_f] together (especially [name_u]Logan[/name_u] and [name_f]Molly[/name_f] but [name_m]Lucas[/name_m] and [name_f]Molly[/name_f] and [name_m]Liam[/name_m] and [name_f]Molly[/name_f] are adorable together, too!).
