Does this work?

I have fallen in love recently with the name [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]! I love everything that it offers. But I feel like when it is next to [name_f]Ewa[/name_f], my other love, it makes [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] look more like a nickname than a stand alone name. I have been toying with the idea that I could use [name_f]Maja[/name_f] as a nickname, which stands next to [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] a lot better, but the only issue with that is that [name_f]Maja[/name_f] is a name by itself and not really a diminutive. My question is if [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] does this to [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] or if I am the only one that thinks this? Thanks!

I actually prefer [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] to [name_f]Maja[/name_f] [name_f]Ewa[/name_f]. I think the the 4 syllables in [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] balance out the two in [name_f]Ewa[/name_f]. Be sure to try it with your last name, though. A name like [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] Frederickson is a mouthful and would take a long time for a little kid to spell. Some NNs for [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] could be:

[name_f]Maggie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lena[/name_f]
[name_f]Madge[/name_f]

I think [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] with a short name is lovely. Take it from me; my favorite combo is [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f]!

Thanks for the feedback! I should clarify that [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] and [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] would be sisters and not one name, which is how I am getting that it looks like [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] drowns out [name_f]Ewa[/name_f].

I love [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] and [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] as sisters. The length of [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] does make [name_f]Ewa[/name_f] seem almost insubstantial when written. However, in sound I think it’s perfect.
