Does this work?

So I was reading a name list earlier today of names based on [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_u]Austen[/name_u] and it brought me a name I had never thought of before but am already loving -

Pemberley

I really like how it sounds , the fact its a place name (it’s not a hard and fast rule but I typically like place names) and the nicknames ([name_f]Emmy[/name_f] , [name_u]Ember[/name_u] or [name_u]Lee[/name_u]) are cute too.

Am I off my rocker here?

I personally love it! I think it would really fit in with other names right now

It’s okay. It’s one of those names that would take time to grow on me.

I would take the P away and go with [name_f]Emberly[/name_f]. There’s also a show I watched where the main character was [name_f]Amberly[/name_f].

I have heard of it recently, actually, so I don’t think it’s far-fetched at all. However all of the recent usages I have seen are spelled Pemberly, which I think is simpler than with the extra E. I like it!

I like the PP suggestion of [name_f]Emberly[/name_f]! But I think Pemberley would make a fine middle name, or first name with one simple middle.

I love it! I’ll be adding this to my list.

Super cute! I’m a [name_u]Brit[/name_u] Lit fanatic, so I absolutely love literary names in general. I looked at your girls’ list and oddly enough, I love Pemberley [name_f]Grace[/name_f].

In the current naming climate, it works fine. The only difference I would add is I’d use the nickname [name_m]Pim[/name_m].

I think it could work. It’s on-trend with names that are popular right now, such as [name_u]Everly[/name_u] and [name_f]Amber[/name_f], but it’s more unique than both those names! [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!

It could definitely work. It sounds enough like [name_u]Kimberly[/name_u] that I don’t think anyone would find it too out there, though I personally find the “Pember-” part kinda awkward and cumbersome.
