Dogs Names at the Dog Park

Today, I went to the dog park for the first time ever. I just got my dog last week and we have a very big yard, so there isn’t really a need for going to the dog park other than socializing with the other pooches.

Now, I was expecting to meet a bunch of Maxs, Bellas, and Buddys. But I was surprised at the nice names the dogs had! Makes me wish I got to name my dog! Her name is a bit boring to me

I met:

  • [name_u]Baby[/name_u] - Pit Bull
  • [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] - Lab mix
  • [name_m]Maverick[/name_m] - Husky
  • [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - Standard Poodle

There weren’t many dogs there, and those are the only ones that I got the name of. There was a pittie who was leaving when we came in, and an ADORABLE dog that looked like a [name_u]Golden[/name_u] Retriever mix who was coming when we were going. [name_m]Just[/name_m] thought I’d share. [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] are two of my favorite names! I think these owners did a good job naming them.

I also really like the names except the [name_m]Pitt[/name_m] Bull. I don’t like the name [name_u]Baby[/name_u] for any dog. I have a white [name_m]Pitt[/name_m] Bull called Bruno. I know it’s a very popular name in [name_m]Pitt[/name_m] Bulls, but I think the name fits him perfectly! I also have a Doberman named Dana, two dachshunds named Thor & Loki ([name_m]Thor[/name_m] is red and [name_u]Loki[/name_u] is black & tan), and a new puppy whose name I’m still choosing.

Why don’t you like your dogs name?

Yeah, I agree, I’m not fond of [name_u]Baby[/name_u] either.

Funny, I’ve never met a Pittie named [name_m]Bruno[/name_m]! And I have met many Pit Bulls in my life (fostered a few, too!).

[name_f]My[/name_f] dog’s name is just boring to me. It’s [name_f]Ana[/name_f], and I always get “like Frozen?!”, which honestly isn’t that bad, but still. Her previous owners named her “Ana” after Frozen, and I would much rather they named her Elsa. That name has really grown on me! The biggest thing is just that I am such a name nerd, and I wanted to use an awesome, old-lady name. I mean, [name_f]Ana[/name_f] is an old name, but not really my style. Her name could’ve been worse, though!

I also have two ferrets, [name_f]Rosamund[/name_f] and [name_m]Moe[/name_m].

[name_f]My[/name_f] parents do a lot of fostering animals.
Some dogs names they’ve had are:
Sitazu
Puppeii
[name_m]Simba[/name_m]
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f]
Kaush
[name_f]Ursa[/name_f]
Nanuk
Paoti
pobear (Polar bear)
Chio
Munchkin
Bane
Pippet
Fric
Frac

I really like [name_f]Clementine[/name_f] for a baby or a dog
[name_u]Baby[/name_u] is a little weird to me, though.
