People haven’t tried to talk us out of [name_f]Dolores[/name_f], because we are avoiding negative and unwanted feedback from family and friends, as I have read here on the forums of people completely upset with the responses.
Despite it not being very on-trend, [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] is a name with a long history of usage and was in the top 100 in the US for a long time in the 1930’s.
We adore [name_f]Lola[/name_f], but feel it lacks the strength and uniqueness that we prefer in girl names. [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] also has great significance to us, so no, at this point I don’t think it’s possible to convince us of not naming our baby [name_f]Dolores[/name_f].
I think [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] is a great name and the nicknames are the cutest. [name_f]Dolly[/name_f] and Lo are my favorite although [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is very sweet too.

I actually was surprised to meet a [name_f]Dolores[/name_f] a few months ago at my sisters Orthotic appointment. She was around my youngest sister’s age 8/9-ish and was really sweet. Not my favorite name in terms of sound, but now I have a positive connection to it. Didn’t read beyond the first page, sorry for any repeats and if they don’t give off that “movie star” vibe. XD
