What do you guys think of [name]Maxwell[/name]? Does it fit well with big brother [name]Donovan[/name]? Right now it’s not in the top 100 but I just hope it doesn’t become popular since [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name] named her daughter that… Middle name would probably be [name]Tate[/name] (family name). Opinions?
I really like [name]Donovan[/name] and [name]Maxwell[/name] together. [name]Both[/name] are manly, handsome names. [name]Maxwell[/name] [name]Tate[/name] would be nice.

I wouldn’t worry too much about [name]Simpson[/name]'s daughter. [name]Maxwell[/name] itself may not be super common/popular but it is [name]WAY[/name] more common for boys than girls and I think everyone thinks she made a weird choice, rather than thinking it’s now a girl name. And I don’t think her using it will really make the boys spike that much more.
[name]Max[/name] has been quite popular as a boys’ name for a long time is part of why I say all that - it grounds the nickname [name]Max[/name] for boys as well as the full name [name]Maxwell[/name] - and the fact that [name]Max[/name] as a given name or as a nickname for the combos of Maxwells and Maximilians out there has been popular so long kind of blocks a spike, to my mind.
Yeah, I still feel like I get a little piece of [name]Xavier[/name]! It feels right and I haven’t felt that with any name so far. My SO suggested it so we are both on board. I think it may be the name!

Yea, I actually can’t think of a name off-hand that would be a better match for [name]Donovan[/name] than [name]Maxwell[/name] is. It’s kind of a perfect combination.

People now know her daughter is [name]Maxwell[/name], but it’s an association that will fade away relatively soon (not a timeless association like [name]Julius[/name] might be to [name]Ceasar[/name] or [name]Aesop[/name] to his fables, etc). And I don’t think her naming her daughter [name]Maxwell[/name] is going to spark off any kind of trend either, since almost everyone most likely agrees that [name]Maxwell[/name] for a girl’s name is in really bad taste.
I don’t think there’s a mad rush to copy [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name] on anything. [name]Don[/name]'t worry. She’s a D-list celebrity, desperate for some headline space, so she made a weird baby name choice in order to grab some ink. It was calculated for people to find it odd, not to emulate her.

Thanks for the reassurance about [name]Jessica[/name] [name]Simpson[/name] and the name. It is our final pick and we are so happy with it. We have slowly started to share with friends and family and haven’t gotten the greatest response- but what do they know? Their suggestions ranged from [name]Aiden[/name] to [name]Jaxson[/name] and even Dayson… really? We love it and that’s all that matters to me! Thank you all for your baby naming expertise
