I think it’s okay to have different styles of names for your children, but would keep the styles consistent within the genders. For boys I like Surnames as first names ([name]Bennett[/name]) and for girls I like traditional, feminine names ([name]Annabelle[/name]). You said you like lots of Hispanic girls names but not many boys so I would go ahead and give your girls the Hispanic names you love, but I would not give your first boy a Hispanic name as it might make naming future boys very, very difficult. From the names mentioned I really like [name]Camellia[/name], [name]Valentina[/name], [name]Gabriella[/name], (and [name]Selena[/name] but wouldn’t use it because of Gomez). From your boys names I like [name]Lucas[/name], [name]Christina[/name], [name]Matteo[/name], [name]Maxwell[/name], and [name]Cruz[/name]. I also think [name]Xavier[/name] [name]Mercer[/name] sounds great and the er ending doesn’t bother me at all. You have a great list…good luck!
I definitely think [name]Xavier[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name] is set for a boy but you never know.
Girls we are still struggling, but we do have time. I just don’t know how Latino I would like to go. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Valentina[/name] but still… I think [name]Camellia[/name]/[name]Camillia[/name] is my favorite and the moment and my husband’s is still [name]Selena[/name], second favorite of his is Rivera.
Through the name [name]Desmond[/name] around, nn [name]Dez[/name]. Thoughts? Totally not on the path I thought we’d take but maybe we can put a Spanish middle name. [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Marco[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name]? My brother is [name]Marco[/name].
I think these would work with you specifications and with the last name of your baby. You’ve got a great list! My favorites are
[name]Valentina[/name]
[name]Mariana[/name]
[name]Carolina[/name]
[name]Rosalina[/name]/[name]Rosalie[/name]
[name]Katarina[/name]/[name]Katerina[/name]
[name]Xavier[/name]
[name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Maxwell[/name]
[name]Christian[/name]
We decided not to learn the sex, but my mother does know. We have two names set for boys [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Marco[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name] or [name]Xavier[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name]. For girls it is still undecided. We have to choose between going with a more Latina name or going more mainstream, as I would like a nice flowing sibset in the future… Thoughts?
I understand your point about the “theme” and Latino names. However, my son has a latino name but the next won’t! And for some reason that doesn’t bother me, or make it feel lob-sided in any way. You can use a latino middle name for the next if you wish, but even if you don’t, I wouldn’t feel self conscious about it at all. I’m just saying this because that is exactly what I plan on doing!
I like [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Marco[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name] and [name]Xavier[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name]. I love [name]Marisol[/name] from your girls names.
I wouldn’t worry too much about carrying on with a Hispanic name. I can see your point; we’re having a hard time finding a name that fits with our kids’ names, and we don’t really have a theme. But their names last for much longer than their childhood and most of the time, people don’t see them in the context of their family and their siblings’ names.
I have a friend who is Samoan and her husband is French. I’m pretty sure that they’ve gone with French names for the boys, and Samoan names for the girls. It works wonderfully.
I love [name]Xavier[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name]! I also really like [name]Valentina[/name] [name]Lauren[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name]
What do you think of [name]Lucia[/name] nn [name]Lucy[/name]? [name]Lucia[/name] [name]Marisol[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name]?
[name]Rosalia[/name] [name]Katarina[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name], the mouthful that it is, is our frontrunner for girls. My grandmother suggested [name]Katarina[/name] way back when we first found out and I loved it but I never thought I’d use it. Her alzheimers is worsening and we would like to go with the name she choose considering she did not want to pass on her name. Thoughts on the combination? Maybe we should go with a shorter fist name since we are using [name]Katarina[/name]. [name]Desmond[/name] [name]Marco[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name] and and [name]Xavier[/name] [name]Ryan[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name] are still our top boys names.
I like that you are honoring your grandmother’s opinion so [name]Rosalia[/name] [name]Katarina[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name] even though it is a lot for a little girl, is a beautiful name that would carry well.
I love [name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Gabriella[/name] for a girls name and [name]Xavier[/name] for a boys!!! Good luck
We welcomed [name]Camellia[/name] [name]Christabel[/name] Gomez [name]Mercer[/name] at 6:16 PM on [name]January[/name] 1st. Thank you for all your wonderful comments! We are so happy to have little [name]Camellia[/name].
Congratulations on your new addition! And on finding the perfect name. [name]Camellia[/name] [name]Christabel[/name] is a beautiful name!
[name]Hi[/name] there! I can relate to you on this one. My husbands side of the family is hispanic and when we got pregnant with my first son I had no choice in what his name was going to be. He HAD to be named after his brother [name]Carlos[/name], so obviously with a name like [name]Carlos[/name] I thought i was very stuck with forever staying in that theme. However, I then had a [name]Mia[/name], an [name]Xavier[/name], and an [name]Annabel[/name]! Now, those names dont all scream latin but, they actually do pass the test according to his family lol. So as long as they arent too out there I think you can get away with it.That being said my faves from your list would be…
[name]Josephina[/name]
[name]Camilla[/name]
[name]Selena[/name]
[name]Valentina[/name]
[name]Mariana[/name]
[name]Gabriella[/name]
[name]Carolina[/name]
[name]Katerina[/name]
Your boys name list made me chuckle. [name]Every[/name] one of these names have been on my lists past and present or are used by my boys lol! My oldest son’s middle is [name]Alexander[/name], My husband is [name]Christian[/name], my younger son is [name]Xavier[/name] [name]Marco[/name], and should our 5th be a boy middle name will most likely be [name]Cruz[/name] lol
[name]Alexander[/name]
[name]Lucas[/name]
[name]Christian[/name]
[name]Xavier[/name]
[name]Samuel[/name]
[name]Cruz[/name]
[name]Marco[/name]
