I have been thinking about this name lately. I had begun to suggest it for others, but I quite like it myself!
What do you think of the name [name]Dorian[/name]? Is it too connected with the novel The Picture of [name]Dorian[/name] [name]Gray[/name]?
[name]How[/name] do you think [name]Dorian[/name] might fit in with hypothetical siblings [name]Hugo[/name] and [name]August[/name] or [name]Cordelia[/name] and [name]Penelope[/name]? Would having a sibling named [name]Theodore[/name] be a no-no?
[name]Feel[/name] free to suggest middle name combos or other names that have a similar feel to [name]Dorian[/name] if you don’t like the name itself.
[name]Dorian[/name] & [name]Theodore[/name] wouldn’t work for me. I prefer [name]Theodore[/name] because it feels more like a blank slate cause the novel association is strong for me.
I love [name]Dorie[/name] as a potential nickname.
For me [name]Dorian[/name] & [name]Cordelia[/name] feel a little samey too.
[name]Dorian[/name] works well with this sibset list. They’re all solid names with history & a little bit of dramatic flare but not at all ott. Very wearable but strongly unique.
Yes to [name]Dorian[/name]. I know one. He’s a dashing redheaded French sculptor.
I like it with [name]Hugo[/name], and maybe [name]Penelope[/name]… From your signature, [name]Eloise[/name] would be a natural match.
I would swoon if I met a [name]Dorian[/name]. Seriously. It’s such a dashing, underused name. [name]Dorian[/name], [name]Hugo[/name], and [name]August[/name] would be perfect as brothers. The only names in your signature that I don’t like with [name]Dorian[/name] are [name]Theodore[/name], [name]Ciaran[/name], [name]Rowan[/name], and [name]Truman[/name].
Well, I love [name]Dorian[/name] for both genders (it means from [name]Doris[/name]). My fave boy combo is [name]Drake[/name] [name]Dorian[/name]/ [name]Dorian[/name] [name]Drake[/name]
[name]Dorian[/name] is the type of boy name that makes me swoon (along with names like [name]Ashley[/name], [name]Remy[/name], and [name]Beau[/name]) because I imagine this ridiculously handsome and charismatic guy. [name]Dorian[/name] & [name]Hugo[/name] make a dashing, subtle literary pair. [name]Penelope[/name] pairs well since they’re both Greek
I seem to be the odd one out here, because I see this as a girl’s name, most probably because of [name_u]Dorian[/name_u] Cramer on [name_f]One[/name_f] Life to Live. I do think it would be handsome on a boy, but I can’t get the girl association out of my head! x
