Dorothea is lovely. I don’t feel the same about [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f], but the thea ending changes it for me.

It is a strong, lyrical name with wonderful nn potential.

I had an amazing pianist Great Aunt [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] who went by [name_f]Dot[/name_f]. After discovering [name_f]Dot[/name_f] on the Miss [name_f]Phryne[/name_f] [name_m]Fisher[/name_m] mysteries, I was even more keen on [name_f]Dot[/name_f]. And [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] is cute too.

Then of course there’s [name_f]Thea[/name_f] and [name_f]Dido[/name_f] and [name_f]Dodo[/name_f] and [name_f]Dora[/name_f].

Dorothea is lovely. It’s has great vintage charm. It’s slightly clunky, but in a cute quirky way honestly. It’s feminine, smart, unique but fairly simple. I like the nn [name_f]Thea[/name_f], but I love the nn [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]!

Ugh I love any variation of this name. [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] has been on my favorites list for a while and I LOVE the NM [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] and [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] for it. Right now I have it paired with the MN [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
Because of [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f], I think [name_f]Thea[/name_f] would be an adorable NM or even [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] if you wanted to take the name in a more spunky direction.
I think [name_f]Dorothea[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u] would be simply precious!
