Dorothy Blythe/Jane Renee

I’m just curious what others think, fairly settled on [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] & [name_f]Renee[/name_f], the latter being an honor name, I’ve been loving [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] as the first middle but I wonder if it’s going to be a bit of a fad name, not age well, etc, but I love the meaning and how infrequent I hear it outside of the internet. [name_f]My[/name_f] husband loves the simple [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and as a middle I do like it a lot, but I do feel [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] together comes off pretty plain or boring. So idk, thoughts?

personally I don’t think [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] works at all with any name (it kind of sounds like a skin condition), so I would go with [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] and [name_f]Jane[/name_f] together, their elegant, simple, and timeless and easy to pronounce.

I agree with the other commenter…Blythe is not my style at all. That said, if you like it, go for it.
I love [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] together, actually. I don’t think it’s boring because you don’t see a lot of girls named Dorothy/Dory/Dottie. I would say [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and

[name_f]Bridget[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]
[name_u]Blair[/name_u] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]
[name_u]Blaine[/name_u] [name_f]Renee[/name_f]

I don’t think [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] will age badly but I love [name_f]Jane[/name_f] and really like [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] together. Very sleek and classic with a bit of sweet quirkiness. The flow of Dororthy [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] is a bit awkward for me, both the transition between the middles and the repeated th sound, and the slight tongue twistiness makes it feel like a bit too much since it doesn’t roll off the tongue well for me.

I like
Dorothy Jane Renee
Or
Jane Renee Dorothy
Or
Jane Dorothy Blythe

I’m not keen on Blythe right after Dorothy. It’s a slight tongue twister for me too.

Just as FYI, I’d advise against Jane Dorothy in a row if that ever gets thrown around - it’s close to Jane Doe (the legal name for unidentified deceased or where the name is unknown or being concealed).

I think there’s some confusion- the first name is [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] and [name_f]Renee[/name_f] is the 2nd middle. So it’s [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] or [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] [name_f]Renee[/name_f].

Both are gorgeous!

However I prefer the nostalgic wholesomeness of [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] is so sweet, happy and upbeat.

I enjoy [name_u]Blythe[/name_u], however, I think in this case, [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] flows better and has a more charming cadence - not boring imo! [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] [name_f]Renee[/name_f] came to mind, as blending the meaning of [name_u]Blythe[/name_u] with the simplicity/classic vibe of [name_u]Blythe[/name_u]?

I don’t think [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] comes off as boring at all - I think it’s just stunning!! [name_f]Vintage[/name_f], yet classic, yet a little spunky at the same time! I really love it. :sparkling_heart:
