I heard the name [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] on a tv program earlier…
It peaked my interest, what do you think of it?
What are some long names for it?
Could it stand alone?
What would you pair with it?

The most common (I think) long form of [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] is [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] (or even Dorothea) which honestly feels very of the moment with older names making a reprisal.
I also think [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] is in the same Hattie/Etta/Lottie category of nicknames that could standalone as first names.
Here are a few spunky/fun [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] combos:
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_u]Louise[/name_u]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_u]Rue[/name_u]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_u]Blair[/name_u]
And some more romantic/elegant options:
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
I think [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] is very versatile and has a ton of possibilities!
I love [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] & [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] Madeline!!
What do you think of [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] & [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f]?
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] is so sweet! Similar vibe to [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], which you liked. [name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is a fine name, but I prefer [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] between the two. [name_u]Or[/name_u], maybe even [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]? I tend to like the [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] spelling more, personally.
I like it when pronounced with an audible t, not such a big fan of the American [name_f]Dottie[/name_f].
As a long name I love [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Dot[/name_f] or [name_f]Dottie[/name_f], it’s been on my list for a long time
If I were to use it as a full name, I’d use something like [name_f]Isabel[/name_f] or [name_f]Josephine[/name_f], something traditional
I love Dottie/Dot as a nickname for [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]. A little baby nicknamed polka [name_f]Dot[/name_f] would be sooo cute!
As a nickname for [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f], it’s very sweet and delightfully retro! But I don’t think it’s a name that would easily fit all adults, and it seems dismissive as a full name.
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] is cute and funky!!
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] could be a nn for…
[name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]
[name_f]Dorothea[/name_f]
[name_f]Theodora[/name_f]
[name_f]Odette[/name_f]
I do think it could stand alone though!
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Evelina[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Emilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f] [name_f]Annabel[/name_f]
