If you could give Iris a second name, what would you? I’ve been adoringgg !!! This name lately, and I like double barrel names haha. Would having two first names be too much to also have two last names? So like Iris FN MN LN-LN ? For a disclaimer, I am simply collecting names and I’m not naming an actual human but when I do eventually have children down the line, they’re going to have two last names so I’d like input on if it’s too many names for a child to carry.
I would not do two first names with a double-barreled surname, speaking as someone who has a fairly long first name and hyphenated surname. It’s a hassle on paperwork and, in my opinion, doesn’t look very nice – I’m imagining something like Mary-Jane Smith-Jones, which I find clunky.
I agree with @aaronburrsir I personally wouldnt do a double barreled first and last name, as its a lot of name, and for my personal aesthetic it doesnt look good when written down.
That being said I love an unexpected double barreled name!
Regarding hyphenated first name and last name I think that’s too much and would be a hassle for the child. I’m also not really into hyphenated first names where I am they are very popular and I always find the second part redundant. People normally have something [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and with the [name_f]Rose[/name_f] part just feeling like a tag along. However of course there are exceptions to the rule and some I find truly beautiful and I do see the appeal. Anyways moving away from this here some suggestions that you may like
Thank you everyone for the replies! All of the suggestions are so gorgeous. With that being said, it does seem to be a bit too much to have two first names and two last names. A girl can dream though!! Lol
