[name_f][/name_f] I think either one goes great with your boys, but lean toward [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] because it feels more novel.
[name_f][/name_f]Honestly, I’m in a fairly small church, and we’ve always had repeat names… [name_f][/name_f] I don’t know that I’d let it keep me from using one of my favorite names just because another child in the church already had the name. [name_f][/name_f] We have multiple J0sies and C@merons and Gr@ces and Dan!els though (which is pretty hilarious given the number of kids in our church lol). [name_f][/name_f] But I do understand your hesitation if you want an unexpected and unusual name [name_f][/name_f]- which is why I’ve opted for [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] in your poll.
[name_f][/name_f]I also agree that you could opt for [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Jean[/name_f] and distance yourself even more from [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_m]James[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- or maybe there’s another short name you could try, like [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Dove[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Fleur[/name_f]?
[name_f][/name_f]I do like double barrel names but I am picky about them [name_f][/name_f]- I also try to make them not too long because I know of families who picked double barrels and couldn’t get people to use them (the main one I’m thinking of is M!chael-Kell@n [name_f][/name_f]- everyone would just call him Michael). [name_f][/name_f] I think [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] & [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Jean[/name_f] are perfectly usable and lovely double barrels, though! [name_f][/name_f] If there’s an [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] in your church already, though, it might be a bit more difficult to get the same people to stick to calling your little one [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Jean[/name_f] instead of just [name_f]Elsie[/name_f]? [name_f][/name_f] Though maybe they’d like something to differentiate between the two!
[name_f][/name_f]In the end, they’re just options [name_f][/name_f]- nothing wrong with either of them! [name_f][/name_f] I think it’s up to what works best for your family & what feels right.
