I love [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-something names! [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_u]June[/name_u] is beautiful too I prefer them with hyphens.
Mary-[name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_u]Anne[/name_u]-[name_u]Louise[/name_u] are my favourite double barrelled names. A bit more uncommon, but also [name_f]Ada[/name_f]-[name_f]Pearl[/name_f].
I know an [name_f]Ellen[/name_f]-[name_f]May[/name_f], so I’m partial to this combo. I also like [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Sara[/name_f]-[name_f]Jane[/name_f]!
I’ve come across a lot of [name_u]Indy[/name_u]- hyphens recently as in ‘[name_u]Indy[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]’, interesting for a modern take on it, not sure if I am a fan or not.
My favourites are [name_f]Lilac[/name_f]-[name_u]Blue[/name_u] (yes, I know it’s colourful) and [name_f]Elspeth[/name_f]-[name_f]Moon[/name_f]. I don’t love the hypens visually, but I think they make it a lot more obvious that it’s a double barrell, as opposed to just a first name / middle name combo, so are generally preferable.
I prefer them with hyphens, and from your list [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_u]Clare[/name_u], [name_f]Sara[/name_f]-[name_f]Jane[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f]-[name_u]June[/name_u], [name_u]Jo[/name_u]-[name_f]Ellen[/name_f], [name_f]Maybeth[/name_f] and [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-[name_f]Kathryn[/name_f] are all so pretty! [name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are…
I’m not a huge fan of double barreled names because no matter how hard I try, they always just sound like a first/middle combo so I feel weird saying both names. I prefer them without hyphens because I just think the hyphens look messy.
There are a couple that I like
[name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] (a family name)
[name_f]Elsie[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
[name_f]Evy[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]
[name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Dove[/name_u]
I’ve been liking double-barreled names lately as well. I’m in the south so it’s fairly common. I can see why lots of people don’t like them, but I think the weird formalness of having two first names is rather charming.
A few I came up with:
[name_f]Claudie[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Frances[/name_f]
[name_f]Lila[/name_f] [name_f]Fern[/name_f]
[name_f]Mabel[/name_f] [name_f]Fae[/name_f]
[name_f]Winnie[/name_f] [name_u]June[/name_u]
[name_f]Zelda[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
I think my favorites here are [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Beth[/name_f], [name_f]Mary[/name_f]-[name_f]Kate[/name_f], and [name_u]Anne[/name_u]-[name_u]Marie[/name_u]. I really like double barrel names but I have a hard time brainstorming them. I’d also like to suggest [name_f]Rose[/name_f]-[name_u]Marie[/name_u].
I’m not really fan, but there’s a few that I do like:
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f] (Lilyrose)
[name_f]Ellie[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Molly[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Emily[/name_f]-[name_f]Rose[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Beth[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]-[name_f]Anna[/name_f] ([name_f]Lilyanna[/name_f])
[name_u]Charlie[/name_u]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgia[/name_f]-[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
