Double barrelled names for girls?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! What are everyone’s thoughts on the double barrelled first names for girls? Often seen in the south, I know, but we are from Midwest so not as common.

Thinking specifically of the name [name_f]Jonna[/name_f] for the first name and [name_f]Joy[/name_f] for the middle name because I’d like to call her [name_u]JoJo[/name_u] or [name_u]Joey[/name_u] or [name_u]Jonnie[/name_u]. We could just leave it at “[name_f]Jonna[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]” and call it a day…

OR…we could do the double barrelled first name and call her [name_f]Jonna[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]. My middle name AND my two step daughter share the middle name [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] and I thought it would be nice to incorporate that since we are a blended family having our first “ours” baby.

So what’s better?
[name_f]Jonna[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Jonna[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]
[name_f]Jonna[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]

Thanks!

I know a handful of girls with double-barrelled first names and I’m in [name_f]England[/name_f]. [name_f]Jonna[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is a mouthful in itself and [name_f]Jonna[/name_f] [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is beyond that, however I think [name_u]JoJo[/name_u] is a sweet nickname and incorporating [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] in there somewhere is meaningful.

[name_f]Jolie[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is also another way to incorporate it all, but you do lose the [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] spelling and just have the sound.

[name_f]Jonna[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] of the ones you have listed but I agree with previous poster, it’s a mouthful.
