I’m normally someone who doesn’t really like double middle names, but I’ve been tempted to play around with them as a way to honor family members. Both second middle names listed honor two matriarchs in my family (mother & grandmother) Making one of the names have a specific limitation is a fun challenge and makes the finished product really meaningful.
I’d just love some opinions on these two combos! What do you like about it, does it flow well, could they be sisters, etc.
Really just anything, I’m open to any sort of comments/critiques.
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Marisa[/name_f] & [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
Edit: just wanted to note that I pronounce Marisa just like Marissa.
[name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Marisa[/name_f]: It seems really long. It just doesn’t have the flow I like, but obviously everyone has different opinions on flow of names.
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]: I love this. So beautiful and flowy and elegant. I love [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] so it wouldn’t take much to impress me. So gorgeous.
@gummybear0724 Thank you for your comment! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think maybe a three-syllable last middle is making the name drag on too much? The name I’m trying to honor is [name_f]Maria[/name_f].
I really like [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f] [name_f]Marisa[/name_f]! I think it flows well, and I love the vintage, medieval warrior princess vibe of [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f], but I love the vibrant, Latin flair of [name_f]Marisa[/name_f], too! She sort of ties everything together and livens it up a bit.
[name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]… I’m less sure. I love [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. It flows fairly well. But there’s something about it that doesn’t sit well with me for some reason. I like that [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] and [name_f]Edith[/name_f] look so visually different, length-wise. I don’t think [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] has that. It almost seems plodding to me. All three names are absolutely gorgeous, but I think the three names are almost TOO similar, and so it doesn’t seem as interesting, and there’s just too many syllables? I think something like [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Aziza[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], or [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] [name_f]Irina[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] all work better to my ear and eye, but it’s your combo.
There’s nothing wrong with it per se, but maybe it’s just me. There’s nothing objectively wrong with it; I just don’t find it quite so exciting. Sorry to be a bit of a downer.
If you like it, keep it–it sounds like it is meaningful, and you really like it.
I like Guineveres name. It flows alot nicer together, but neither sound bad. [name_f]Guinevere[/name_f] and [name_f]Loralei[/name_f] sound nice together as sisters.
