So my husband and I are expecting our 4th child, a girl!
We had posted a thread 2 days ago in hopes of weighing in on 2 names we adore. After much consideration and feedback we have decided to add one more name into the mix.
The name(s) we are considering- [name]Estelle[/name] [name]Rose[/name] OR [name]Estella[/name] [name]Rose[/name].
[name]Do[/name] they sound better with siblings, [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], & [name]Beatrix[/name]?
The 2 names we were considering are [name]Margaux[/name] & [name]Imogen[/name].
We are so puzzled and love them all but we are starting to doubt them. Help!!!:???:
I really, really like [name]Imogen[/name]!! I don’t like [name]Estelle[/name] or [name]Estella[/name] sorry. When I hear [name]Estelle[/name]/[name]Estella[/name] I see an old lady not a young girl.
Out of the two “E” choices, I much prefer [name]Estella[/name] [name]Rose[/name]. I think the three syllables flows much nicer with [name]Rose[/name]. I can understand not being able to decide between them. But, not really any “doubt” about them. [name]Estella[/name], [name]Margaux[/name], & [name]Imogen[/name] are all lovely names and fit well with the siblings. Is [name]Rose[/name] the set middle name for all of the choices?
No, [name]Rose[/name] is not the “set in stone” middle name. We were thinking of [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Beth[/name] & [name]Margaux[/name] [name]Jane[/name].
As of now, we are leaning towards [name]Imogen[/name] but the middle name is still undecided.
I think [name]Estella[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is very pretty, and is my favorite of all your choices. I also think it fits well with the other siblings.
While I like [name]Estella[/name] [name]Rose[/name] best of the two original choices, I really like [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Beth[/name] the best with [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], and [name]Beatrix[/name]. I prefer [name]Margaux[/name] to [name]Estella[/name], but I’m not sure about having two sisters with the x-ending. [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is a lovely, classic choice that would also work well with your sibset.
I like [name]Imogen[/name] best. It fits really well with [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], and [name]Beatrix[/name]. Also, I think [name]Estella[/name] sounds more modern than [name]Estelle[/name], but both are beautiful.
My favorites are [name]Imogen[/name] followed by [name]Estella[/name]. I didn’t read your first thread so I assume [name]Rose[/name] will be the mn no matter what. I like [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Estella[/name] [name]Rose[/name] equally.
I like [name]Imogen[/name] best with your other girls, followed by [name]Margaux[/name] but I think spelling it [name]Margo[/name] or [name]Margot[/name] is much more streamlined and accessible. [name]Estella[/name] is my preference over [name]Estelle[/name] but I think it is fustier than your other girls, and it shares the initial with [name]Eleanor[/name]. [name]Stella[/name] might actually be a better fit (although much more popular), or [name]Esther[/name].
I love your girls’ names- [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Beatrix[/name] are beautiful together, and all of a very particular style (whilst not predictable)
[name]Estella[/name] [name]Rose[/name]- I think [name]Estella[/name] is a better fit than [name]Estelle[/name]. Less dated, kind of has more of a kick. However, I really really don’t like [name]Rose[/name] in the middle spot. I think it takes a girlie name and makes it a little saccharine. [name]Estella[/name] [name]Beth[/name] would be gorgeous, imo. Or I’m sure a host of other things…
[name]Margaux[/name] [name]Jane[/name]- I don’t love having two girls names ending in X. In general also prefer either the [name]Margot[/name] or [name]Margo[/name] spellings. [name]Margaux[/name] looks unnecessarily fancy imo. [name]Margot[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is gorgeous, however.
[name]Imogen[/name] [name]Beth[/name]- I like [name]Imogen[/name], but don’t love it with [name]Beth[/name]. [name]Imogen[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is very cute. I think I find [name]Imogen[/name] and [name]Beth[/name] to be ‘mellow’ names, so both together is like putting two shades of green together or something. [name]Imogen[/name] works well with your girls; I’ve always loved the romantic sound of the name.
To sum- [name]Love[/name] ALL your options. Really big kudos on your taste because its fantastic. [name]Lucky[/name] girls.
I think [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Estella[/name] are a little matchy together, and for that reason it’d be my last pick.
[name]Margaux[/name] spelled like this is a non starter for me, but [name]Margot[/name] would be my second choice. Very lovely and underused (as of yet)
However, I think [name]Imogen[/name] is the winner in my book. Has just that little bit more charisma and a bit of a charmed blush about it…something of the innocence of your girls’ names, whilst also carrying energy.
What beautiful names. I think [name]Georgia[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name], and [name]Estella[/name] would make a great sib set! I picked [name]Estella[/name] over [name]Estelle[/name] because it differentiates it a little more from [name]Eleanor[/name]. I love the suggestion of [name]Stella[/name]! [name]Colette[/name] would also be a pretty pairing
