Or aside from that “lass” just looks feminine, and also [name]Douglas[/name] is going to be the spelling people will assume.

The extra ‘s’ seems unnecessary and misspelled.
The extra ‘S’ just makes the name look misspelled/ kinda feminine. [name]Douglas[/name] is the way people would assume it to be spelled, so use that and save the hassle of having to keep reminding people of how to spell his name.
