As time has passes, I find myself thinking more and more about the names I want to use in the near future (year or so until TTC). Funnily enough, we came up with a boy name in less than 5 minutes. As for a girl, well…
[name_f]Clementine[/name_f] - I love it, partner has rejected it
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] - partner is ok with this one, but our boy name starts with S also and I don’t like the idea of sharing initials
So far the only name we both love is [name_u]Dove[/name_u]. However, I am finding that I like it more in the middle name spot. As a first, it seems…a tad incomplete to me. I tend to prefer longer first names. One syllable girl names just aren’t my personal preference.
And so…does anyone have suggestions as to either a longer version of [name_u]Dove[/name_u] as a first name OR a feminine first that goes well with [name_u]Dove[/name_u] in the middle? I don’t particularly like Dovelyn nor names that mean [name_u]Dove[/name_u] such as [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]. I’m wondering if there are more variations I’m not thinking of that may be appropriate or any other creative suggestions?
I’m getting quite exhausted with this name search…nothing has really stuck for me. Please help!
Oh, [name_u]Dove[/name_u] is so lovely! [name_f]Doveva[/name_f] immediately came to mind, or you could do something like [name_f]Do[/name_f]rothy Vera and call her [name_u]Dove[/name_u]. I mean, you can call her [name_u]Dove[/name_u] regardless of her name, like [name_u]Dove[/name_u] Cameron’s dad did with her so she legally changed her name to [name_u]Dove[/name_u] after his passing.
Some suggestions for [name_u]Dove[/name_u] as middle:
cicely dove
maria dove
lia dove
alida dove
evenie dove
agnesca dove
cosette dove
lydia dove
opal dove
lilac dove
pollyanna dove
maya dove
sonia dove
phoebe dove
orla dove
eloise dove
Someone wrote [name_f]Lara[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] in one of the baby name game threads and I love it! [name_f]Alara[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u]?
I personally like it better in the middle name spot. I have actually met a Dovey before if you like that. I’m not sure I do but everyone has their own tastes!
