I agree with watermellie…if I HAVE to choose, I’d pick [name]Natalia[/name]. They’re both very nice!

Here are the US stats from last year 2011. [name]Both[/name] are gorgeous names but I have a soft spot for [name]Carina[/name].

[name]Natalia[/name] - No# 108 (2,781 girls). It wouldn’t surprise me if this name reached the top 100 this year.

[name]Carina[/name] - this spelling was not in the top 1,000 but [name]Karina[/name] was No# 337 (928 girls)

I have an easier time pronouncing [name]Carina[/name] than I do [name]Natalia[/name] (nah-tal-ee-ah?), and I also like the name better. I do prefer the spelling [name]Karina[/name], but [name]Carina[/name] is pretty in its own way :slight_smile:

I love [name]Carina[/name]!! I would use it myself, but the name already belongs to a cousin!! :smiley: I do think some ppl will have trouble with [name]Natalia[/name] and its pronunciation…but not many.

I like them both, but I’m going to have to go for [name]Natalia[/name]. I love the nickname [name]Tally[/name] if you are planning on using one.

I prefer [name]Carina[/name]. I think it’s such a sweet, underused, but familiar name. I’m actually not quite sure how to pronounce [name]Natalia[/name] myself, but if I’m pronouncing it correctly, it sounds nice as well.

So weird – I had a dream about the name [name]Natalia[/name] last night! (I was proposing it to DH and he was shooting it down.) I love this name. Gorgeous, stunning, all good things. Great nicknames to boot. [name]Carina[/name] is also nice, but my heart lies with [name]Natalia[/name].

I prefer [name]Carina[/name]. [name]Natalia[/name] is nice…but just the idea of nn [name]Nat[/name] turns me off of it.

I don’t like [name]Carina[/name], unlike the majority of posters. [name]Natalia[/name] is so beautiful. Other than the gnat connection, I think [name]Nat[/name] is a wonderful nn that you don’t neccesarily have to used. I would go for [name]Natalia[/name], but that’s just me.

[name]Natalia[/name] has been growing on me lately, I think I like it for a middle somewhere. I’ve always thought [name]Carina[/name] is pretty so I say [name]Carina[/name]! :0
