I voted for [name]Elena[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] because I like enough complexity in a name to hold my interest, and find both [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Mia[/name] too simple. [name]Both[/name] seem like riffs on Mama, or Momma, whereas [name]Elena[/name] evokes more possibility.

[name]Elena[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] is so pretty! [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Mia[/name] are both in to top 10, and I already know so many Emmas and Mias. [name]Elena[/name] is beautiful and timeless, where [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Mia[/name] are definately '2000’s or '2010’s names.

Thank you so much!

I like [name]Elena[/name] [name]Caroline[/name], then [name]Emma[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]. Although I would combine them and just do [name]Ella[/name] [name]Caroline[/name], personally.

Good luck!

oooh [name]Ella[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] is gorgeous, too! Let me suggest that to DH! Thank you!

I agree with thuja. For me, whenever I see [name]Emma[/name], [name]Mia[/name], [name]Olivia[/name], [name]Ava[/name], etc; I yawn and scroll on down because to me it’s just another [name]Mia[/name]/ [name]Emma[/name]= read boring. While the names are pretty and i understand the appeal, I personally experienced what it’s like to be just another [name]Emma[/name]. I grew up at the height of when the name [name]Brittany[/name] was super popular, it was annoying to have to be [name]Brittany[/name] S or [name]Brittany[/name] 1 (that literally happened when myself and another [name]Brittany[/name] had the same initials, not to mention it was kind of embarrassing). [name]Elena[/name] had me stop for a second. I think it’s a beautiful name and it’s not crazy common.

I cannot get bored with [name]Emma[/name], like the pps are saying. I love it thru and thru. It’s elegant, beautiful and timeless. It got my vote! I also love the suggestion of [name]Ella[/name] [name]Caroline[/name], but I love [name]Emma[/name] more.

I agree about [name]Emma[/name]! I know it’s popular, but I just can’t help but love it. [name]Just[/name] trying to decide how much the popularity bothers us/may bother her in the future.

[name]Elena[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] for sure! [name]Love[/name] that name!

[name]Mia[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] is so cute!

~[name]Jasmine[/name]

[name]Elena[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]. It’s elegant, mature, and flows really nicely. Plus it has the potential for cute nicknames, if she wants them-- [name]Elle[/name], [name]Ellie[/name], [name]Lena[/name].

Loveing [name]Elena[/name]! It’s unique and beautiful!

While I still like [name]Elena[/name] more, for the reasons I said in the last post, it really seems like you love the name [name]Emma[/name]. So here are reasons (to play devils advocate) on why [name]Emma[/name] might be a better choice for you.

  1. My example was based on my name. [name]Emma[/name] is far more timeless than [name]Brittany[/name] will ever be.
  2. [name]Elena[/name] could become a super popular name because of Vampire Diaries. (see [name]Aria[/name]/ [name]Arya[/name] from Pretty little liars and Game of Thrones).
  3. I will admit, in terms of flow, [name]Emma[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] is a smidge better than [name]Elena[/name] [name]Caroline[/name].
  4. [name]Elena[/name] has potential to be mispronounced ([name]Elle[/name]-in-uh/ e-lee-nah). Assuming the pronunciation is (e-lay-nah).

[name]Elena[/name] could be nn [name]Ella[/name] perhaps?

I too chose [name]Elena[/name].

I just wanted to clarify that I didn’t say I was bored with [name]Emma[/name] because I’ve heard it a lot or because it’s popular. To me, it lacks complexity in and of itself and is too evocative of Momma…

I like both [name]Emma[/name] and [name]Mia[/name] combo. I would choose [name]Emma[/name] as it’s my one of my all-time favourite. But if its popularity bothers you, I would suggest [name]Mia[/name].

Those are all great points! I think I’m actually leaning more towards [name]Elena[/name] and DH is leaning more towards [name]Emma[/name]. Popularity doesn’t concern him at all, but it bothers me a little because I don’t want people to hear her name and just think “oh another [name]Emma[/name]…yawn” haha. If it wasn’t so popular, I think we’d be set on [name]Emma[/name], but there is just something about its popularity that definitely concerns me. Another poster suggested [name]Ella[/name] [name]Caroline[/name] (thank you!), and DH actually really liked it. So, that might be a compromise for us…not sure yet, though. Thank you so much for your help!

I know what you mean about it being evocative of Momma! I, too, am leaning more towards [name]Elena[/name] (though DH still ever so slightly prefers [name]Emma[/name]).

[name]Just[/name] wanted to thank everyone for your replies and opinions! This is such a huge help to us! Thank you!
