I really really like both [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]Holland[/name_u]! But I don’t care for the rest of the choices at all.
I have two suggestions for how you can narrow it down further.
The names fall into, in my opinion, three different categories: surnames (which some people may consider trendy, dislike because of the popularity, not like on girls because they are “boy names only”)–[name_u]Kiernan[/name_u], [name_u]Holland[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]. classics (may be considered boring): [name_f]Margo[/name_f], [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]. Quirky (may be considered really weird)–[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] , and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]. If you plan on having more kids and want their names to match stylistically, you may want to choose a name from the category where you have the most favorites (for boys and girls).
Consider nicknames and short forms. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if you don’t intend to call her by anything other than her full name, other people will probably shorten it (especially the three syllable names). If you don’t like [name_f]Margie[/name_f], [name_f]Winnie[/name_f], [name_f]Emmy[/name_f], [name_f]Juni[/name_f], etc. you might eliminate those choices for that reason.
My personal favorite is [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].
I personally don’t like [name_u]Holland[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], or [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u].
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] is my favorite, but spelled [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. Second favorite is [name_f]Margo[/name_f], but spelled [name_f]Margot[/name_f]. And [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] is my third favorite!
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] are my favs!
I voted for [name_f]Margo[/name_f] and [name_f]Winifred[/name_f].
[name_f]Margo[/name_f] - Nameberry classic (!) that everyone seems to like but not many people seem to actually use. (Might just be me.) It’s spunky, modern, but has loads of history. Spelt [name_f]Margot[/name_f], it feels more feminine and dainty. You wouldn’t need a nickname unless you wanted one, as it’s only two syllables.
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f] - Classic saint’s name that [name_f]IMO[/name_f] could be unexpectedly heading up the charts. Sounds delicate, but somehow ‘funky clunky’ too, and totally works for a kid. Some friends in [name_u]America[/name_u] recently named their little girl [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], and they call her [name_f]Winnie[/name_f].
Personally I don’t care for [name_u]Holland[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], or [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u], as they sound very trendy and unisex to my ears and I’m not that keen on either of those ‘categories’ in general, but [name_u]Vivian[/name_u], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], and [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] are also pretty.
I would rank them:
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]- my favourite, and the one I voted for. It’s both classic and spunky, and has a history but would feel perfectly at home in the 21st century.
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u]- fun, fresh and lively. It’s unusual, both as a name itself and having unusual sounds (e.g. doesn’t sound like a much more popular name).
[name_f]Margo[/name_f] if spelled [name_f]Margot[/name_f]; not a fan of [name_f]Margo[/name_f]. It feels elegant, dainty and demure. I think of [name_f]Anne[/name_f] [name_m]Frank[/name_m]'s sister whose name was [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]- has the same pop and fun as [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], but is more traditional and perhaps more wearable
[name_f]Winifred[/name_f]- I love its vintage, old-lady chic vibe, but find the sounds a bit clunky and harsh
I’m not really a fan of [name_u]Holland[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] or [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u] on girls. Maybe you would like [name_f]Holly[/name_f] or [name_f]Keira[/name_f]? (not that you need any more suggestions!
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], and [name_f]Margo[/name_f] are my favs
My favourites are, in order:
[name_u]Juniper[/name_u] (long time love of mine!)
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
[name_f]Margo[/name_f]
[name_u]Holland[/name_u]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Winnifred[/name_f] are too weird for my taste (not that that’s wrong!) and [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] and [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u] are just not my style
I really love [name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]!
I voted for all except [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] and [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] is my #1 vote.
If I was comboing these names, [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]/[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]/[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_u]Holland[/name_u]
Have you considered giving you daughter three names? Good luck!
I love [name_u]Holland[/name_u] as it sounds gender Neutral also can have a girly appeal with [name_f]Holly[/name_f].
Have you ever thought of combining some of your favorites like the first poster suggested?
[name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Margo[/name_f]
[name_u]Kiernan[/name_u] [name_f]Winifred[/name_f]
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] [name_f]Margo[/name_f] [name_u]Juniper[/name_u]
[name_u]Love[/name_u]: [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], [name_f]Margo[/name_f], [name_u]Holland[/name_u]
Like: [name_u]Vivian[/name_u]
Dislike: [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u]
I voted for [name_f]Winifred[/name_f].
My favorite is [name_f]Margo[/name_f], but spelled [name_f]Margot[/name_f].
I like the name [name_f]Kiera[/name_f] instead of [name_u]Kiernan[/name_u]. It sounds less like a surname. The more popular spelling is [name_f]Keira[/name_f]. There is also the male name [name_m]Keiran[/name_m], but it could be used for a girl.
My thoughts, on the names listed in order of my preference:
[name_u]Vivian[/name_u] and [name_f]Margo[/name_f]! Although I prefer [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] and [name_f]Margaux[/name_f]
