We are having a second little boy. Our first son has the name [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u].
These are the four names we have narrowed it down to the following four names:):
[name_u]Rory[/name_u]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m]
[name_m]Leo[/name_m]
We would most likely use [name_u]James[/name_u] as the middle name, but are open to suggestions. Thanks for your help!
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_u]Rory[/name_u] are very sweet together as they share the same ending. All your names sound great with [name_u]James[/name_u], you can’t really go wrong here!
I personally have always had a sweet spot for the name [name_m]Thomas[/name_m], so I have to go for that one. I think because [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is such a classic name that [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] would go perfectly with it, although all the names are great. My least favourite of them all is [name_u]Rory[/name_u] only because 1) I personally tend to think of that being more a girl’s name and 2) it doesn’t sound as classic as the others (and I’m a sucker for classic names). [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_u]Michael[/name_u] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds beautiful! [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is very nice as well.
You have some great options to go with an already wonderfully named big brother!
My vote goes to [name_m]Thomas[/name_m].
[name_u]Rory[/name_u] - This one is difficult for me to say (the second R trips me up). Also, it is used on girls often enough that with the pair [name_m]Henry[/name_m] & [name_u]Rory[/name_u] someone might assume boy and girl. Of course, neither one of those issues may bother you!
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] - Very handsome name but paired with [name_m]Henry[/name_m] I get a very “[name_m]King[/name_m]” vibe.
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] - I like this one but to me it feels a little incomplete, like a nickname.
Good luck! As you can see, all of the things I said about each name are really minor issues. You really can’t go wrong with any of your choices!
Ooo, some great names there! I really like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] together, but I think [name_m]Edward[/name_m] pairs the best with middle name [name_u]James[/name_u]. My first choice would be [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_m]Edward[/name_m], second would be [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], and third would be [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Thomas[/name_m]. The only one I wouldn’t use is [name_u]Rory[/name_u]–I think [name_u]Rory[/name_u] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] sound too alike to use together.
With [name_m]Henry[/name_m], I think [name_m]Edward[/name_m] or [name_m]Thomas[/name_m] are especially nice - they’d give you a really handsome, classic-sounding sibset. [name_u]Rory[/name_u] is a little bit similar to [name_m]Henry[/name_m] in terms of sound to me, and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] is gorgeous but doesn’t feel as timeless as the other two.
I vote [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Edward[/name_m]. I know two sets of twins with these names and I’ve always thought they sounded great together - not at all matchy, but they really fit together beautifully.
I think either [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] or [name_m]Edward[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] pair really nicely with [name_m]Henry[/name_m].
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] would probably get my vote though!
My favorite is [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. I adore both [name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_u]Rory[/name_u]. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] neutral about the other three.
[name_m]Thomas[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] sound good with [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Micheal[/name_m]!
