Which would you pick–to go with the boys’ names in my signature? Which is your favorite in general? I feel like I’m leaning toward [name_m]Grant[/name_m] most of all, but I can’t decide if I am crushing on [name_m]Grant[/name_m] as a name in general, or [name_m]Grant[/name_m] as a first name, if that makes sense at all. In the past, [name_m]Grant[/name_m] has only ever really been a MN contender for me, but I’m loving it so much that I’m considering it up front. Thoughts on [name_m]Grant[/name_m] in particular?
I don’t really have any combos sorted, but, if it matters, Brave would be the second middle for [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] or [name_m]Linus[/name_m], and I’m really liking the idea of [name_u]Noah[/name_u] or [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] as a middle so far.
You’re prob sick of hearing from me…but, my top 2 personal faves are [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] “[name_m]Leo[/name_m]” and [name_m]Declan[/name_m]. However, my top 2 to go with boys in your signature are [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Declan[/name_m]. So that’s 2 votes for [name_m]Declan[/name_m] and 1 each for [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] and [name_m]Grant[/name_m].
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] but not[name_m]Leopold[/name_m]… or [name_m]Declan[/name_m]… [name_m]Linus[/name_m] is too [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] [name_m]Brown[/name_m] [name_m]Grant[/name_m] is kind of stuffy
With the other names in your signature I say Grant and Declan. My favorite Declan (as you can see in my signature). I love the meaning and feel it is a very handsome boys name that will age well.
And as you can see I also love Wilder. Declan Wilder would be fabulous.
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] “fits” with… [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m] , [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Bailey[/name_u], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Boaz[/name_m], [name_m]Brody[/name_m], [name_m]Zane[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
Pros:I think [name_m]Grant[/name_m] fits with most of your boys names more than the other choices. The name has the most versatility of the four.
Cons: You would have to choose between [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Grayson[/name_m]. [name_m]Grant[/name_m] would be my choice to add to your list as a first name.
[name_m]Leopold[/name_m] nn [name_m]Leo[/name_m] “fits” with…[name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m], [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_m]Jack[/name_m]
Pros: a strong and masculine choice
Cons: You would have to eliminate [name_m]Boaz[/name_m]. I don’t think [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] works well with most of your “surname” names.
[name_m]Linus[/name_m] “fits” with…[name_m]Caleb[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m] , [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
Pros: some wonderful namesakes and a cute cartoon character
Cons: [name_m]Boaz[/name_m] and [name_m]Linus[/name_m] end similarly. I don’t like [name_m]Linus[/name_m] with some of the cowboyish surnames ([name_m]Brody[/name_m], [name_m]Zane[/name_m])
[name_m]Declan[/name_m] “fits” with… [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Jack[/name_m] , [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Bailey[/name_u], [name_m]Brody[/name_m], [name_m]Zane[/name_m] and [name_u]Spencer[/name_u]
Pros: The name works well with the surnames on your list.
Cons: the trendiest choice of the four. If you want to avoid “n” ending names, [name_m]Grayson[/name_m] would have to go.
[name_m]Leopold[/name_m] goes best with your sig names. Second best for your list would be [name_m]Linus[/name_m].
If it was to go on my own personal list, I like just [name_m]Leo[/name_m], my second choice would be [name_m]Grant[/name_m], but mostly for a middle if I had to use it. [name_u]Noah[/name_u] would be my first choice as far as middle names.
So overall, [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] is the winner, with my most fave being [name_m]Leo[/name_m]. If I was going to choose my fave “leo” name it would have to be [name_m]Lennox[/name_m]. That could be just be me using any excuse I can to incorporate the name [name_m]Lennox[/name_m].
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] is ok. I don’t hate it. I don’t love it or really like it much. [name_m]Graham[/name_m] is handsome and short. [name_u]Grey[/name_u] is wonderful too. [name_m]Geo[/name_m]/[name_m]Gio[/name_m] is cool though-short for [name_m]Giovanni[/name_m] maybe.
[name_m]Leopold[/name_m] has the awesome nn leo!
[name_m]Linus[/name_m] is a personal favorite and I really really want my hubby to agree to add it to my short list but no luck so far!
declan is nice but I feel like it is becoming trendy/popular. I know 3 little declans!
[name_m]Grant[/name_m] to me is in the same category as [name_u]Dean[/name_u] for some reason… simple, classic, mature! I like it!
My favorite of the four is [name_m]Linus[/name_m]. My cat is named [name_m]Linus[/name_m], so perhaps, I’m a little biased. The best fit for your signature, however, is [name_m]Grant[/name_m]. I rather like the name [name_m]Grant[/name_m] as a first name, and I wish I heard it more often. If you are still unsure about using [name_m]Grant[/name_m], I think the next best fit is [name_m]Declan[/name_m].
I think [name_m]Grant[/name_m] and [name_m]Declan[/name_m] go better with your signature boys than [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] or [name_m]Linus[/name_m] (though [name_m]Linus[/name_m] is a tad closer). You’ve got some trendy names with some classics, whereas both [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] and [name_m]Linus[/name_m] are more ‘old-man chic’ or vintage or Euro modern.
I just can’t imagine an [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Bailey[/name_u] and [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] as brothers or a [name_m]Brody[/name_m], [name_m]Grayson[/name_m], and [name_m]Linus[/name_m].
I really love the name [name_m]Grant[/name_m]. I think it has a lovely meaning, a simple spelling and pronunciation, a familiar feel without being overused, it’s not a classic but it’s not weird or trendy. If you like the sound then it really has everything going for it.
I know some of these don’t really fit with my other favorites ([name_m]Leopold[/name_m], [name_m]Linus[/name_m]), but I still really love them, and I like that I could easily honor my grandfather with them.
[name_m]How[/name_m] do we feel about [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] as a FN? I like it for its literary ties, but I’m not sure whether I should use it up front or not. I like the idea of [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], actually, but I’m wondering if it’s too close to [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] from Now You See Me? Also, what would you imagine a [name_m]Grant[/name_m] to be like? I’m still really loving it, but I’m starting to wonder if I should just use it as a middle. Or maybe my trouble is I can’t seem to find a combo I like with it…
I know a [name_m]Grant[/name_m] who is super outgoing and ready for any kind of adventure; one of the friendliest and most interested people I’ve ever met.
I’m on the fence about [name_m]Wilder[/name_m], I think there are so many great [name_m]Wil[/name_m]- names out there and [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] seems too faux mountain man to me sometimes. I do like it as a mn and I do like that it leaves the option of [name_m]Will[/name_m] open.
What about [name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_u]August[/name_u] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m]? similar feel but without the [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] connection.
I like [name_m]Grant[/name_m] but [name_m]Declan[/name_m] is my favorite. I’ve been seeing a lot of [name_m]Wilder[/name_m] on nameberry recently and I’m not a big fan.
