Down to the wire! 3 wks to go--second guessing mn for Charles

We’ve been dead-set on [name_m]Charles[/name_m], since we found out he is a boy. Not looking for opinions on that. It’s a family name and we are agreed [name_m]Charles[/name_m], nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u]. It’s a name that makes us both swoon, despite popularity, or history. He’s our first.
I’m starting to doubt mn. We had decided [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Preston[/name_m] (last name is is 2 syllables, rhymes with [name_u]Poe[/name_u]-shay, but starts with an F)
[name_m]Preston[/name_m] is a beloved friend and that’s why we chose it initially. I wasn’t a fan if the name [name_m]Preston[/name_m] on its own, but I do like the classic with the contemporary. Mostly, it was about the person who he would be named after.
Starting to 2nd guess this.
Should I?

If it’s to honour a person, than that is far more important than the trivial differences in sound. You will regret it, if you change it at this point. [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Preston[/name_m] is a great name!

[name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Preston[/name_m] is absolute perfection! I am a huge [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] fan!

Wait! Does [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Preston[/name_m] sound too much like [name_m]Charlton[/name_m] Heston? Did anyone else think of that or am I being silly/overthinking this? Three days from due date and I’m still just not totally sold on a middle name! It’s stressing me out!

Thanks. Maybe I just need to hear this!

Sound-wise my favourite is [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], but I love that [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Preston[/name_m] has so much meaning and it goes together really well. I find [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Wesley[/name_m] a bit odd because there was a famous [name_m]Christian[/name_m] leader and hymnist named that (first and last name), but most people won’t make the connection- my father’s a clergyman so I hear this stuff from him.
