My husband and I simply can’t agree on the “the name” so I’d appreciate it if others could help nudge us one way or another as we’re days away from our little one’s arrival. We’re thinking of the following (and I should mention that the middle names are significant for us but the first names are changeable):
[name]Josiah[/name] [name]Paul[/name] - I really like this. Nice flow.
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Paul[/name] - [name]Asher[/name] is on my short list too. I think it sounds fresh, but still has history. I also like the nickname [name]Ash[/name].
[name]Brendan[/name] [name]Peder[/name] - [name]Brendan[/name] feels a bit overused and dated compared to your other choices. I see the appeal. It does go nicely with [name]Peder[/name] (Same as [name]Peter[/name]?)
I vote for [name]Asher[/name] or [name]Josiah[/name].
Good luck! It’s such a big decision. Maybe when you meet him, you’ll just know : )
I love [name]Josiah[/name] and really like it with [name]Peder[/name]. [name]Josiah[/name] [name]Peder[/name] gets my vote.
[name]Brendan[/name] [name]Peder[/name] sounds great together but I have come across many [name]Brendan[/name]'s, [name]Brennan[/name]'s, and [name]Braden[/name]'s in the last few years.
[name]Asher[/name] is a really good name, I’ve seen it here a lot more than I’ve actually ever heard it. I don’t know too many little babies so I’m not as up to date on the newest trends. [name]Ash[/name] is a good nn, however. I’m not sure I like it with [name]Paul[/name] or [name]Peder[/name] though. I like [name]Paul[/name] [name]Asher[/name] better than [name]Asher[/name] [name]Paul[/name]. I don’t know the last time I’ve met a [name]Paul[/name]. Hmmm.
I love [name]Asher[/name]. DH and I couldn’t agree on our 3rd sons name so we compromised with [name]Ashton[/name]. I also really like [name]Josiah[/name], but really like [name]Jonas[/name] better. [name]Brendan[/name] feels dated to me too. My DH likes [name]Brandon[/name] and I keep telling him no!
Good luck! We are down to the wire too…please let us know what you choose.
I really like [name]Asher[/name], but I am hearing it a lot lately, if that matters to you. I think of the three, I would pick [name]Josiah[/name] for myself. Good luck with the delivery!
My son’s name is [name]Brendan[/name], so I am biased…but I really like the name [name]Brendan[/name] [name]Peder[/name]. I do not think that [name]Brendan[/name] is overused. I have met very few other [name]Brendan[/name]'s. [name]Brayden[/name], [name]Brennan[/name], and [name]Brandon[/name] seem to be overused.
I prefer [name]Asher[/name]. [name]Josiah[/name] screams Biblical to me, which is fine if that is what you are looking for, but I don’t particularly care for [name]Joseph[/name] in any of its variations. [name]Asher[/name] is cute, still Biblical, but more fresh and exciting than your other choices in my opinion. I don’t mean to offend anyone, so please don’t take this the wrong way.
Good luck in choosing your son’s name, as you have some very well thought out and classy choices!
