My husband and I are expecting our first daughter in five weeks, and have our name list narrowed down to three names. I was wondering if anyone would be willing to chime in with opinions on our final three? We both love all three of them, so it will be a difficult final decision.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is my favorite first name - I think [name_f]Jane[/name_f] or [name_f]Mae[/name_f] would be lovely as a middle for it! Good luck!
I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] the most, it’s a beautiful, girls choice. But if you want something more unique, [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] is for you.
I like [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] best out of your combinations, but I really like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f].
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]! [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] sounds too much like [name_m]Irwin[/name_m], which reads nerd to me. (Maybe it’s political and I just dislike W’s).
I adore [name_f]Arwen[/name_f]! I would love [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_f]Leia[/name_f]. [name_f]Claire[/name_f] doesn’t seem to fit. If you do use [name_f]Claire[/name_f], I prefer [name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] spelling.
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] is beautiful, but I’m also captivated by [name_f]Leia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. I’m not sure how I feel about the look of [name_f]Leia[/name_f] (that is a lot of vowels) but the sound just rolls so nicely. I want to say them together as a double-first.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] is a good name, but less striking than the other two.
[name_f]Arwen[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] would be cute too.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], it’s beautiful really fiery and elegant. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] also has gorgeous Gone with the Wind associations, and just sounds lovely. I also like the ‘[name_f]Letty[/name_f]’ nickname for [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. Defiantly my favourite.
Our top name right now is [name_f]Leia[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. We think it just flows beautifully. We originally loved the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Jo[/name_u], but we felt it was too close to [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] Johansson.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] is a middle name of one of the great grandmothers and holds meaning to us. I never thought to use it with [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], but [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is just gorgeous.
I think [name_f]Leia[/name_f] is a beautiful name, but I am concerned that it is so closely associated with [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars. The character was a strong, intelligent woman so that is not my main concern, I just worry that she may be picked on because it is so strongly tied with the movies. Any opinions on the association with the films?
