We’ve narrowed it down to these three names for our daughter-to-be. Our first daughter is Haylee [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. What is your favorite?
I’m also not 100% sure on the middle name [name_f]Summer[/name_f] for [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] but we want it to start with and S and we haven’t found another S middle name we both like.
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] without a doubt! It’s classy, elegant, international and is a harmonious combination of extremely gorgeous names. [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] and [name_f]Summer[/name_f] are both very common and kaitlyn is a complicated name to have with all the variations… and because it’s also very common. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] instead?
I think [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] and [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] both work best with Halyee over [name_f]Elena[/name_f]. I like [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] best because she seems a little fresher, but I actually think an S middle name is pretty tough with [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], flow wise, as [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] ends in S - they just sort of roll together in a mix for me, which I don’t personally care for.
OH! Are you purposely using middle names that start with the letter that the first name ends in? Because I was just looking at [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] and thinking, wow, those really flow together, too… hm. Okay. Now I think I get it. In that case, with Halyee [name_f]Elise[/name_f], I’d pick a feminine simple middle name with [name_u]Alexis[/name_u], like [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Sara[/name_f], or [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_u]Simone[/name_u], or with [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f], like [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] [name_u]Noel[/name_u], or [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] [name_f]Natalie[/name_f].
I love [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Annalise[/name_f], but I wouldn’t use [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] if you already have a daughter with [name_f]Elise[/name_f] as a middle. They’re too similar. [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_u]Alexis[/name_u]? [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Antoinette[/name_f]? [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f]? [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Amabel[/name_f]? [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Aislinn[/name_f]? [name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Ashlyn[/name_f]?
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] is too similar to [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. I do like [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] though. I think it’s a very unexpected middle name choice. [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is also lovely and [name_f]Elena[/name_f] is a great name as well.
I think [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] would work best with Halyee. I’m not sure about the transition from -s to s-, but if that’s what you want, then go for it. It seems bright and sunny.
Yes, we are purposely connecting the names by last letter of first name and first letter of middle name. My mom did that with both me and my sister so I wanted to keep it as something special from her.
I like the way [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_u]Simone[/name_u] sounds too but hubby doesn’t like the middle name. We seem to really clash in our name preferences which is how we ended up with these three - they are the only ones we could both live with.
Elena Annalise gets my vote. Kaitlyn and Alexis both feel very dated to me as a child of the late 80’s/90’s. And there have been so very many Kaitlyn/Katelin/Caitlin variations; Elena is so much fresher by comparison.
I think [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] sounds wonderful. [name_u]Ever[/name_u] thought of [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_u]Sage[/name_u]? [name_u]Sage[/name_u] goes well with [name_u]Alexis[/name_u].
[name_f]Elena[/name_f] [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] - I wouldn’t use [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] just you’ve already got [name_f]Elise[/name_f] for [name_f]Haylee[/name_f]'s middle, they’re too close. Unless you plan on something equally similar for the middle if you have another daughter, to tie them all together.
[name_u]Alexis[/name_u] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] - Not bad, but I wouldn’t use the double letter sound with S’s. Makes the name a bit hard to say properly when they kinda roll into one, ends up sorta like [name_u]Alexis[/name_u] Ummer. You’d have to say the names nice and slow to get the appreciated form of them. Individually, both good names.
[name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] - I like the sound of this one together best. I think [name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f] really goes with [name_f]Haylee[/name_f] too. And [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] gives me a similar feel as [name_f]Elise[/name_f]. This is my vote.
