I’ll keep [name_f]Ann[/name_f] — She was too important to me. But [name_f]Aleia[/name_f] & [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] were my siblings that died long before I even was alive! I feel a little guilty dropping them from the list, though. Should I? I try to honor them in other ways but it doesn’t feel like enough.
I’d love to add [name_f]Ann[/name_f] as a hyphen — [name_f]Do[/name_f] [name_f]Kismet[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f] & [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-[name_f]Vela[/name_f] work? [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f]? I’m worried the As run into each other there but I don’t like [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]. It sounds like “antsy [name_f]Enna[/name_f]” to me, which would be my [name_f]Sienna[/name_f] nickname.
Should [name_f]Ann[/name_f] go with [name_f]Kismet[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f] “[name_u]Kit[/name_u]” or [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-[name_f]Vela[/name_f]?
- [name_f]Kismet[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f]
- [name_f]Ann[/name_f]-[name_f]Vela[/name_f]
- [name_f]Vela[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f] (third option)
Dropping [name_f]Aleia[/name_f] and [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] ultimately depends on your feelings, so no comment about that.
I think [name_f]Kismet[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f] sounds good! What do you think about [name_f]Vela[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f]? I think the n sound is too repetitive in [name_f]Sienna[/name_f]-[name_f]Ann[/name_f], although it’s not bad either.
Kismet is my favorite but I don’t like how it looks with the hyphen. I think [name_f]Kismet[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] as a first name with no hyphen is better or using [name_f]Ann[/name_f] as a middle also works.

This is ultimately your decision, but if you feel guilty about taking them off your list, then I would keep them since they mean so much. You could use them as middle names. For example, [name_f]Kismet[/name_f] [name_f]Aleia[/name_f] [name_f]Dannielle[/name_f]. It honors all of those people who are dear to you, along with [name_f]Kismet[/name_f] (You could use any other first name you like, this is just an example). I’m not a fan of hyphens, so [name_f]Kismet[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] looks good to me and that’s my favorite combo.

Honestly, like everyone is saying, it all depends on your feelings. If it’s important to you then keep it, don’t just keep them to please your parents. [name_f]My[/name_f] mom did that for my brother and regrets it.
Kismet [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is lovely! Very cosmic and dystopian. It gets my vote. I also prefer it without the hyphen, though it would make it easier for her so she wouldn’t have to keep correcting people that she has two first names. I have two first names, unhyphenated, and it’s annoying having to always correct people, especially at doctor’s offices.
